Nice atomsphere
Kept waiting at restaurant reception for several minutes. Restaurant was fairly busy with families (probably due to the 50% offer) but not sure if it was under staffed or staff not very attentive/trained. Did see staff on their phones in the bar area. Had to wait a while for an order to be taken and would have rather got drinks first. Looked around at other people and the starters varied massively in size, some looked like mains and too big which put us off certain dishes. A large menu to choose from. We had beetroot and goats cheeses salad and crab cake for starters, Both good in size, look and taste. Mains was chicken Milanese and one of the steaks. Steak tasted great. Spaghetti portion with the chicken was too much and would have been better on a plate and laid out a different way. No lemon served with it and could have had a bit more flavour. Wouldn't usually go to a hotel for dinner and certainly not a Holiday Inn so was intrigued as didn't know Marco Pierre White was putting his name to a restaurant there. Without the 50% off offer the food and experience isn't worth it. Trying to be something more than it is and the formula isn't quite right. Table we were sat on was very wide so great if you had lots of food, but a long way away form my partner. Didn't have a large bottle of still water and beer was not flat, but gas was on the way out.
I was extremely disappointed that when presented with the bill the waitress had reduced it by 50% of the food but then asked for a vouched that I should have being given at the time I booked on line. She then went away and came back with a bill for double the amount. The cost of the meal for 4 was very expensive and the experience was extremely poor. I will not use this restaurant again.

Our first visit to Marcos - a Christmas present from our daughter Laura. We visited at lunchtime and the restaurant Staff were welcoming, very friendly and helpful - food was excellent! Good atmosphere in the restaurant which was modern and well designed. We will certainly be returning! Thank you.
Food lovely, service abit mixed up kept getting table wrong
Relaxed setting and great food
Menu had lots of choices which was good. Foccacia bread was good and authentic and our starters and steaks were really good and tasty. The steaks were cooked to perfection! Nice friendly staff and were helpful with menu changes. The only downer was the fact that the restaurant was really cold.
Booked dinner at 6pm, started off well, but team were stretched which meant that our drinks arrived after our appetiser.
We've booked this restaurant for the company's Christmas lunch. We've booked the table for 12:30 and we had to wait for 5 minutes for someone to greet us and take us to our table. Food was good, nothing extraordinary, but nothing wrong. Had some issues with the lemonade tasting a bit funny, but staff was prompt and brought another round. Being an Italian place, coffee should definitely be a highlight. Unfortunately, you're using Starbucks which is not great. Believe would be a big plus if you would invest in a decent coffee machine and some nice coffee beans. Service was not particularly great. A little more enthusiasm and a smile would definitely help improve the overall experience. Overall, the experience was good, but not extraordinary to make us want to come again.
The food was really tasty but the service was pretty shocking especially as we were the only table in there for lunch They managed to get drinks and food orders wrong and side dishes were coming out as we finished Kitchen staff were helping with service and didn’t know that the dishes were they were handing out
We dined here back in June and had a great meal / evening. This time not as great, sorry for being blunt, but the waitress stank! very unlikely to go again.
This restaurant is located within the lobby of a large hotel, it is totally devoid of any atmosphere
service poor no napkins on table, had to wait for wine had steak asked for it to be done with garlic seasoning said ok but pretty sure it was not, steak was lovely told waitress about garlic no response . wife's lasagne over cooked no sign os staff ,ordered coffee, not great at the end had to get up and find someone to get bill. for price very poor standard ,miller and carter beats it by a mile for service price and standard.
Lovely looking restaurant with a good ambience. Had the shrimps to start and they were delicious. Pizza for main and that was very tasty. Was recommended a very nice wine that was complimenting the dinner myself and my friends had.

Pizza was amazing
it was a mum and daughter birthday afternoon tea and it was fabulous. my daughter totally loved it because she is a vegetarian and was catered for. we will definitely be returning
