9/10We loved the decor, really great atmosphere and efficient and friendly staff. The iberico ham, Tomato bread and the cheese platters were good, patatas bravas really excellent (bit of a twist on the usual offerings we’ve had elsewhere) and we wish we’d had room for the prawns that everyone else seemed to have. Definitely will return.

9.5/10Been several times now and never disappointed. Food is top quality and very consistent on every visit. Friendly attentive and informative team. Good Spanish wines but they err towards the unecessarily expensive - no different than any other decent restaurant in Brighton these days.

10/10We booked the private room for my friends wedding! From start to finish the staff couldn’t do enough for you! I was emailing Neil who was so responsive and did everything he could to make everything perfect! We then had Michael who was looking after us and honestly he was absolutely incredible!! So efficient, always checking we were ok and had a laugh with us as well! One of the best restaurants for food and service I have ever been too! Thank you so much for making a special day even more perfect!!

10/10Market has been my favourite restaurant in Brighton and Hove for a while and taking my boyfriend there for the first time just reinstalled that position! Wonderful food/wine and really the best service I could imagine, I really love the atmosphere here, super cosy and fun

5.5/10Dingy basement table, with no natural light. Food was average, particularly the croquettes and chorizo, they were soggy and lacking flavour. Meatballs and pork were delicious however.

9.5/10Fantastic food, although quite a compact little restaurant, so a little overwhelming at first. Staff were great though and helped us out. Goats cheese Churros - I would happily die eating only this dish. Incredible!

10/10This was our second visit to this little gem of a restaurant and it was just as wonderful as we'd remembered. The food is out of this world; some typical tapas dishes but also some interesting twists on a traditional theme. Mouth-watering flavour combinations, beautifully presented with a good selection of wines too. It's a cosy, intimate space and the service is excellent. We LOVE it!

10/10Such a wonderful place! From the warm welcome to the tasty non alcoholic cocktails to the exquisite Wagyu steak and accompanying tapas dishes to the delicious desserts, this little restaurant ticks all our boxes. We will be back.

10/10What a great tapas bar. Staff were really friendly and did everything to make you feel at home. Food was excellent, some of the best Tapas we’ve had for ages. Will definitely revisit!

10/10Great restaurant that never disappoints! Well balanced meals, there is something for everyone in the menu. Staff is super kind and nice, and they always take the notes left in the reservation into consideration. One of my favourite restaurants of all time.

10/10Amazing evening out, exciting and delicious dishes, presented beautifully in front of us while we sat at the bar. Friendly service who gave us space and guided us through menu choices. We will go back.

6.5/10Market is one of our favourite places to eat and after many years, this is the first time we came away disappointed. The food was amazing as always and we chose some of our favourites as well as trying some specials- all delicious. The reason we were disappointed was the lack of chatty atmosphere and engagement by the host & staff, which we’ve always loved there. It just felt very flat. Hoping it was just a bad day ….

10/10My wife and I love tapas, so we were really excited when we found this lovely Hove establishment by accident. My wife is vegetarian and she was amazed at the variety and quality of the vegetarian food, and I loved my chorizo and Croquette dishes. Overall the meal was amazing, and the staff were super friendly and very welcoming, I can't wait to go back again !

Despite having high hopes for the restaurant, my experience was marred by a lack of attention from the staff, who were too busy chatting and throwing bottles around to pay any attention to the customers. The waiting staff were especially poor, constantly bringing dishes to our table without any consideration for the limited space we had to eat in. The service was rushed and appeared to lack any genuine care or attention to detail. When it came to the food, it was clear that the restaurant had lost its former glory. While the tartare and cheive dishes had the potential to be great, they were ruined by the overwhelming presence of creme fresh, which completely overwhelmed the delicate flavors. The rest of the food was greasy and seemed to be churned out without any care or consideration for quality, even though the restaurant was only a quarter full. Given the high prices, it's clear that the owners of this establishment are on a path to ruin if they continue to provide such subpar service and food. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

8.5/10Lovely little tapas in Brighton hosted by an amazing team who really make your visit. The food started off rocky with mediocre Croquettas and the iberico jamon which is precut and stored on boards under clingfilm which tasted more of cling film than jamon, the main course of suckling pig was Amazing! the flavours were robust and the meat was succulent! Their broccoli with tahini and Salasa macha was a revelation, Market is well worth a visit as makes for a really good evening.

8.5/10There is no doubt that the quality of food is to a high standard. Having said that, I was disappointed by the size of each, as they were small in comparison and this didn’t justify the price charged. Overall the food was lovely, the ambiance was great, but the price was expensive.

10/10The food was even better than in our four or five previous visits to Market. Very special to us both were the Gambas Pil Pil,the lamb(sorry,cannot remember the name of the dish) and even the superb bread !! Rather naughtily,we started our meal with delicious cocktails(mine non-alcoholic),with everything being served by charming,friendly and efficient gentlemen.

9/10Love Market - one of our favourite restaurants in Hove. However, slightly disappointed on this occasion as felt very rushed by the waitress. We were aware we only had a 2 hour booking but for the last 20mins the reminders that we had to leave, the constant hovering round the table & the forcing of the bill payment upon us did slightly ruin the evening for us. However, as always, food faultless.

5.5/10We have eaten here before but sadly, this time around it didn’t live up to the previous visit. Some of the food didn’t have much flavour and the service wasn’t great. Nobody came to the door when we arrived so we had to shuffle along the bar to catch someone’s attention to get seated. We ordered in two rounds, the first was fine but the second lot of dishes took a very long time. The waitress realised we hadn’t received them and checked on the till. She asked us to list exactly what we ordered, told us it would be with us shortly, pretending all was fine, then entered the order she had clearly not done properly the first time and pinned up the ticket for the kitchen. The three dishes came out across the next 30 minutes in 10 minute intervals. We would have preferred honesty. Lastly, once we had paid, not one person acknowledged us leaving which was a shame given we were sat to the rear of the restaurant there was an abundance of staff in a small space. They were perhaps having a bad night on this occasion?
