Very good
The food was good but service a bit slow to start with. There was a smell of manner from the Stables nearby.
meal was great 3rd time here .but menu needs to have more choice only a few dishes to choose from
No music on, no one else dining yet we were place under the air con and next to the door. No roast available yet we asked for this in advance when we booked a week before. If a Roast isn't something you do on a Sunday you should have said when I booked. We moved into the bar as it was busy & had atmosphere. It was our third night of eating out in the area & it was our least favourite yet it was the most expensive. Pleased that they had a vegan menu however it is over priced.
Afternoon tea was excellent and pleased about the reduced child price for my 10yr old
We booked afternoon tea and on arrival were asked if there were any dietary needs, we asked for no cheese. When the tea arrived it still contained the cheese sandwiches. This was disappointing as they had asked the question and then ignored the answer, We also had to request more tea as no-one had come over to ask if we needed a refill. The Tea was served in the conservatory and the room wasn't warm - I kept my coat on.
Wasn’t the best that we’ve had
Excellent service and beautifully presented meal.
Excellent service. Starters and desserts really tasty. We had ribeye steak for main which was a little under cooked and very sinewy. Ribeye should be marbled for flavour but this steak had big parts of grisly fat making half of it inedible
Expensive and disappointing very small portions for the price. Staff where very pleasant and polite.
Menu was quite sparse and my steak arrived with a few chips and 8 small tomatoes. Disappointing. Also didnt have the wine i ordered
Staff is amazing and food is really tasty and have Asian influence. Best crab cakes.
All was lovely nice food we had afternoon tea really enjoyed it
Wonderful Staff , very attentive great food
Ok experience
All in all it was a mediocre afternoon tea. My friends and I went for my birthday treat which cost £18.50. We thought brilliant it’s not a bad price but not cheap either considering it was just shy of £60 between all three. We received tea immediately which was great and then our afternoon tea arrived with plain ham sandwiches which were boring and dry. Soggy cucumber and cream cheese finger sandwiches. Salmon which were nice and egg mayo which mine wasn’t really filled with much I think I might have got an end cutting. We then got onto the cakes where we got a selection of four slithers of cake and dessert. They were nice however would have wanted more. The final tier which was the scones. The scones were lovely and warm, the jam was lovely, the cream however was not. It tasted like butter and the consistency was also like butter, yuck! No one came round to ask if we would like more tea which was a shame, however the servers were friendly. Overall a disappointing afternoon tea. Wouldn’t go back if that was the only thing they offered.
I made this booking for my daughter and her husband, as a treat for their wedding anniversary. They were married at Bannantynes wedding venue 5 years ago, I have booked this venue for the last four years. The last three years the booking has also included their daughter who is now two years old. They were also able to walk in the grounds which interested a very inquisitive two year old. They had a fabulous meal, the staff were very accommodating with their two year old. The food was fabulous and they had a great early evening meal.
