10/10We have been to Maxwells four or five times now both as a couple and with family and it has never disappointed. The food is excellent with a good variety of options and the onion rings are the best! On this occasion we had the flat iron chicken which was very tasty with lots of sauce and then you just must leave room for the Churros which come with a large pot of caramel sauce - they are amazing! The restaurant was quiet as it was lunchtime on a Monday in January but there were enough people and good music at an appropriate level to make a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly, happy to help with any menu tweaks and recommend any deals. Using The Fork just adds to the whole experience which I would highly recommend.

7/10Bad seating, very warm. Loud and cramped but nice decor. Food was lovely. Waitress kept coming over to check if we were finished to take away plates. Probably about 5/6 times. Also was eager to take bill, when I needed a moment she came back almost straight away and then I asked for one more minute as I was having trouble with my bank app. The waitress then didn’t come back for 10 mins after I caught her eye and had my card on the receipt for majority of the time. Seemed like the restaurant was keen to get people in and out quickly. The seats were so close to other tables you might as well have been sat on a strangers lap and talking in their ear. Uncomfortable and stressful dining experience.

10/10Great vibe, great service and great food! We loved it at Maxwell’s for my partners birthday meal, our server even surprised us with a birthday dessert. Thank you, ps the cocktails are delicious :)

6.5/10Firstly I would like to praise Charlene who was our server, she was attentive and friendly and managed our requests efficiently. Felipe gave us a warm welcome and managed our dissatisfaction with our main course very professionally. The music contributed to the ambiance and the restaurant was organised and clean. Now the moany bit, my friend ordered the club sandwich and described it as the worst club sandwich she’d ever had, the egg was like an omelette, the sauce gave a flavour that she could not enjoy the sandwich and made the texture soggy. I ordered the wagyu burger and tried to eat it but struggled with the dryness of the burger, it should have been succulent and moist- I had to leave it. However, the fries with skin on were nice and the chicken wings starter were delicious. If the chefs and kitchen staff could sort out these issues, the food would be what you expect to receive and enjoy.

9.5/10Friendly and efficient staff, didn’t rush us at all which was great as the 4 of us were catching up after several months. Really brilliant music which was loud enough to hear but not too loud to stop us chatting. Really tasty food.

8.5/10We arrived very early and was glad that we were given seats at the bar where we ordered our wine for our dinner. The starters of prawns and squids were just the right size as we ordered the tomahawk for our mains. It was cooked to the way we liked but somehow the quality was not as good as we expected. When we finished our mains we were asked if we mind moving to cater for a birthday party of eight. We have no problems with that. We were pleasantly surprised that we were offered liquor on the house and a price reduction on our wine. Well done Maxwell for your kind consideration.
