Small portions, but food was tasty. You need at least 3/4 dishes to feel you have eaten. Staff was good, only it took long for the wine to arrive. And this being Japanese/italian restaurant i naively thought there would be japanese/italian chefs, which was not the case. Good experience, but not sure i would come again.

Linked to the historic hotel of the same name near Green Park tube station, this was a comfortable and well-appointed restaurant which served both Italian and Japanese food of very good quality and presentation. Nice risotto with truffle starter followed by sea-bass with clams. Excellent Spanish white wine (Godello) was reasonably priced. Professional and friendly service. Would return.

Good food. A little overpriced, but still acceptable. Good service, but felt a little too much attention. Too many service staff constantly looking and walking past table...a bit nerve racking...and makes one feel anxious while eating. Overall nice experience and will return. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS dessert!!!

We don’t like vinegar & most dishes have vinegar sauces ?! Also we are not big eaters but portion sizes are ridiculously small especially the vegetable dishes & cabbage was £16 for a portion that I could have eaten in 1 big mouthful !! However service & Christina : excellent

May Fair Kitchen has a modern, sleek interior. It is part of the adjacent hotel. Japanese/Italian cuisine on offer, focus is on small sharing dishes. . Food was pricey I felt, for the portion sizes, which on the whole were small. The kohlrabi salad was crisp and fresh, but covered in too much mayonnaise type dressing. Grilled hispi cabbage with truffle butter was miniscule. Truffle butter had too much vinegar. Baby chicken was actually what appeared to be two grilled chicken thighs, but was tasty. The black cod was nice, but again with too much vinegar based dressing which overwhelmed other flavours. The corn tacos dressing also had same issue, as did the dressing served with otherwise delicious grilled prawns. All the food was fresh though, and well presented. They just need to ease back on vinegar/acidy type seasoning on a lot of the food. Mochis for dessert were enjoyable! Staff are delightful; particular mention to the wonderfully gracious Cristina who served our table. She was attentive with our requests, and feedback. Thank you so much, Cristina- you are a credit to the restaurant!

I had aged ribeye beef and sliced octopus. They are both very delicious. The waitress Irina who served me was attentive and thoughtful too. I love the food and service I received! But I’m not happy that I was influenced by the way they cooperate with Fork App. I used my Fork yums so I got £50 off with booking my reservation on App. They didn’t deduct £50 directly in my bill. When I asked for it, I had to wait for the manager who’s in the meeting to give the waitress access so she can sort the bill problem out. When he came he told me that he can’t give me the £50 off because the dishes I ordered only costed £47 (with service charge it’s £54). However I wasn’t informed neither by Fork nor by any staff that there’s a lowest price set for clients to use the yums. Eventually the manager did sort it out for me and I used my yums. I would recommend this place for food, but I’d suggest them to get familiar with how to do bill when it involved the platform they cooperate with, or give information on the platform about lowest price that clients should spend before they can use the yums here.

We were very well looked after everything was. Very good and we will come again.Just one thing though’ we were a group of SIX why didn’t we get 25% off our beverages bill? Just saying! Well done May Fair kitchen. Diana and her male compatriot were excellent the way they looked after us.

Everyone was very attentive and well organised. Well aware of their surroundings. One thing I would say was not that pleasant was when they picked up plates separately rather than pick up plates when both persons are done eating. But other than that was a very pleasant atmosphere!

The tapas section was very, very good - small dishes full of vibrant, distinctive flavours. The main course Spanish claypot was good, but paled in comparison. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. It was a little loud at the start, but it became quieter after the birthday party left! I'll go again.

I did know what to expect, my expectation of hotel restaurants is never very good... just average. May fair kitchen surpassed all expectation and actually excelled at service and food . The service staff were thoughtfully helpful, realised we were having a business meeting and moved us to a quieter part of the restaurant when the the table behind us filled up with Christmas drinkers !! I took the set menu and was very happy with the choices and how they tasted... will be back here again for sure and recommend it to any body who is looking for a high quality meal at VFM prices...

Food was exceptional, but found the staff a little stifling and a bit 'absent'. A weird thing to say about staff, but no one smiled and no one seemed to particularly want to be there. I get Mayfair crowds aren't the friendliest in the world, but it'd be nice to feel like being nice should warrant some warmth back.
