10/10They accommodated our party of 16 without any issue. The building was beautiful, the service excellent and the food amazing! Exactly what we hoped for with our first afternoon tea experience.

4.5/10I have been to Melody Restaurant twice. The first time the night before they were closing for refurbishment. There was no-one else there. I went again last night, the restaurant hadn't been refurbished only the bar. There was one other person there. It was cold. Not atmosphere. No table cloths as shown on the website. There was only the bar menu. The person in charge was defensive. My friend asked for malt vinegar, she got balsamic. She said to the person in charge, he disagreed. I feel very sad as I had hoped this would have been a regular to go where I could entertain friends. With Olympia opening soon with 2 Hotels, restaurants etc, they will really need to up their game.

8/10Food was very fresh. Scones were delicious. Could do with a sandwich made from brown bread not just white and filling a little bland. Service was reasonable but had to ask for more tea. Festive music cut out a few times which spoilt the ambiance. For Hammersmith I thought the price was high.

7.5/10I took a visitor for lunch at The Melody. The setting is lovely and very "English", the staff are pleasant and willing BUT our à la carte choice of sirloin steak was not available (and it's a small menu in any case!). So we both changed our choice of main course. Generous portions but gravy came without a serving spoon and I asked for French Mustard but received English Mustard ... they said they didn't have any other! Our starter of cheese and onion tart was still cold from the 'fridge and pastry was soggy and somewhat undercooked. This is not a cheap restaurant (£100 for 2 diners, without wine) and we were disappointed. A pity as the setting is very pleasant but doesn’t justify the upmarket prices.

10/10We visit as foreign tourists. (Japan & Korean) It was the first restaurant we visited during our trip, so we were a little nervous, but we were able to relax and leave because of the friendly service.

3/10Shown to a table for tea even though I had booked lunch! Ordered fish and chips and caesar salad. On menu fish and chips came with peas we asked for no peas waitress advised that peas are not served; just had not been removed from the menu. Caesar salad was dreadful covered in grated cheese, barely any dressing and lettuce that had seen better days. Paid bill which included service charge and waited for change that never arrived. Had to request change which had to be waited for. Really a disappointing lunch will never return.

7/10Staff is kind and professional. nothing to complain about. Booking on The Fork was supposed to secure a price and the restaurant charged us +7£ per person instead of the price announced on The Fork. Do use The Fork to book but never trust the prices because they can just randomly announce you that you have to pay the price on the menu, not on the app! Do not assume you will have a discount.

9/10The chicken had the best chicken taste l have never had. The beef was also good both on the quality of the meat and also the chef. The portion size were rather small if it was not the Fork disc. All in all, an enjoyable meal.

8.5/10Ambience good. Attentive service. Minor issues such as waste bowl/plate for prawn shells would be good. Food a little on bland side. Fillet a bit overcooked and no shine on it. Whiskey taster excellent

8/10This lovely restaurant in the old headmaster's house of St Paul's School (now St Paul's Hotel) is a favourite of mine. I booked the £39 3-course menu for 2 people with glass of champagne included, for a Sunday evening birthday dinner. When we arrived we were told this offer is not available on a Sunday. After some discussion, it was agreed they would honour our booking. The meal was delicious and they did not charge for the champagne! The Fork should make it clear that this offer is not available on a Sunday, which would have avoided an embarrassing situation! In the end, we had a good meal and left smiling.

8/10Having been to this lovely restaurant before we were looking forward to returning. We arrived and already disappointed to be placed on a table when we requested a booth. Never mind. The waitress took our order and returned with glasses of champagne… however unlike previous visits we waited for top ups … they also noted our empty glasses. The bottomless is for two hours fortunately and in the second hour we had a much more attentive waitress … and a young man who recommended good tea. The afternoon tea was plentiful … cinnamon scones are wonderful. The gardens are nice to sit in too. Overall would have been a 10 had we felt we were looked after at the start.

10/10Beautiful building the old Masters Lodge for St Paul's school when it was in Hammersmith. Lovely interior with tablecloths. The staff were excellent. I'd originally booked a table late in the afternoon and got a phonecall to confirm if I actually wanted dinner. The restaurant serves afternoon tea until 4.30pm and then the a la carte service begins at 5.30pm. They kindly changed the timing for my booking and still applied the Fork discount. Beautiful food. The monkfish tempura was delicious and the beef and whiskey was a hit! We will definitely be back again

7/10The building and interior is striking, I thought the service was OK. unfortunately the chef was ill on the day , so we were unable to have the Al la carte menu, however we was offered the set menu with a glass of champagne at a reduced price so we went for that instead. I enjoyed the asparagus starter with egg yolk and pesto sauce. My main arrived luke warm , it was sea bass with sweet potato or pumpkin mash . My guest had lamb chops with potatoes and brocoli. For dessert we had mango and passion fruit deconstructed cheesecake, it tasted artificial. Overall we both had a pleasant evening where the food lacked in satisfaction the ambience and decor made up for it.

10/10We went for Mother's Day lunch and had the Sunday roast menu. It was really lovely! Especially the excellent service from Fedérico! My husband enjoyed the beef and my mother in law and I had the lamb. The carrot was a bit salty and my cheesecake dessert was served frozen but those were the only minor complaints. We also had slightly long wait between each course after being told initially that the table was needed back in 2 hours. All in all we had an enjoyable lunch. Its worth noting there is no parking at the hotel but it was easy enough getting street parking on the road adjacent.

10/10Amazing for a first date. The set menu and included champagne was excellent, the staff friendly and laid back without being too informal (e.g. they let us choose where to sit!) It's a beautiful and fascinating location. Will definitely come again and recommend - planning to take Dad for his birthday next. Thanks all at Melody St Paul's.

6.5/10Afternoon tea seriously lacked variety. Six scones, no pastries, limited cakes. Every other afternoon tea we had previous to this experience required us to ask for a doggy bag. Always good to save for a later snack. We decided not to bother with this. Location, ambience and service were great but the food and variety was less than satisfactory.

6/10Food took 40 mins to arrive - extremely slow and slowest by far of any fork restaurants we have been to. Free water was not topped up at all until I asked and it took a while to catch the waitress attention to ask for more water. In addition the horse radish was not very good so couldn’t enjoy the roast beef how I would normally eat it.

9/10Went with family for my sister's Birthday we had afternoon tea the staff were very friendly and welcoming very beautifully decorated room, really liked the salmon selection I would say the choc muffin was a little dry. But the mango chocolate mouse dessert was superb. Also the bacon jam was very interesting my brother in law still talking about it. The staff were great giving my sister a special dessert and also some chocolates to take away for my nephew Overall great experience. Would like to see a bigger loose tea selection. Would come back to try their lunch. Dinner menu
