Considering the reputation of this restaurant, I was surprised to find a table was available on a Friday evening. My partner and I chose the sharing plates menu. We had the Onion Bhaji, Vegetable and Chicken Samosa which are deconstructed. Bizarre but what a taste sensation. The flavouring was spot on and the spice burn was there but did not impact on the flavouring. I had the Hallem beef brisket. never had this before and wow. For mains we had the Railway mutton curry and duck vindaloo. Again the spicing was spot on with the flavouring and we had the Afghani pilaf rice and paratha bread basket to accompany it. Was it worth it? Absolutely and will visit again. The staff were very attentive and answered our questions about the food. It has lovely atmosphere and well worth every penny.

A relaxed and total satisfying evening. Excellent and somewhat unusual menu resulted in a plentiful and varied meal cooked to perfection. Attentive staff without intruding on the mood and conversation at the table. We will be back.

This was the first time we visited this restaurant. Staff made us very welcome and were attentive but not intrusive. Menu was easy to navigate and food arrived in short intervals. The food was not overly hot but spicy. We dinner with friends for a celebration dinner.

Very good food and friendly service. The music could've been better. Bossa Nova covers of famous music hits did not suit the ambience of the restaurant but other than that I had a delightful experience.

Whilst I appreciate the 'Indian tapas' style of this menu the food we ordered came out way too quickly and in no logical order at all. After 9 minutes the table was full and we asked them to slow down, So they stopped the food but the subsequent stuff that came was luke warm leading us to believe it had been sitting on the pass. The bread came out very last after all our courses. We sent it back as had nothing to dip it into. As a sharing concept I would expect serving spoons to be brought for each of the dishes - they didn't - and we had to ask twice. A shame as the environment was nice and the dishes interesting but we felt extremely rushed - which was even further a shame as it was my birthday and I had chosen the place especially.

Memsahib is a great place to go, the afternoon tea is different and taste amazing, the added little amuse bouche and sorbet palate cleanser are lovely touch. All flavours are a delight to the palate, Thoroughly enjoyed our visit . Definitely recommend you go there. Staff are attentive and friendly

What a treat! The food was amazing, its great to be able to try a variety of small dishes, each with a unique spin on a recognisable Indian dish. The Gin and cocktail menu is extensive, and each drink is beautifully presented. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating, and the vibe is lovely. It wasn't that busy when we were there, but it didn't affect the atmosphere. Despite being quite a big space, it still felt cosy. Its not a cheap place to go, but the food truly is worth it.

We took many plates to share. Everything was delicious and often an original revisit of dishes we know. Special mention for the guinea fowl… outstanding! Service was friendly and ultra efficient. Good selection of wines. A really enjoyable night out!

Nice setting. Felt rush by the waiters and the fast service of the food. Small table to keep 4 tapas plates plus bottle of wine +wine glasses+ water glasses+cutlery. Food wasn’t hot enough. Meals were not explained properly.

The owner is front-of-house and attentive, engaging and informative. She exhibits a passion for ensuring her husband, the cook, produces excellent food, served well, in good surroundings. She takes time to ensure you not only enjoy the food, but also understand how it is produced and why it is different from others. It's special. The staff were very attentive under her watchful eye. Service was efficient, courteous and I couldn't fault it. The food was excellent and worth the slight premium paid for the pleasure of the overall experience.

Fabulous. We were greeted and shown to our table and almost immediately offered a complimentary drink. Our waiter explained the menu options with genuine enthusiasm for the food. We enjoyed the fish based Experience menu and accompanying flight of drinks. Nothing was rushed and nothing was slow, and before we knew it three and a half hours had passed, and we left having enjoyed a superb meal and evening. We can’t wait for a reason to be back in Cheltenham and will definitely visit again.
