10/10we had dinner in this beautiful italian restaurant for our friend’s birthday. what an amazing experience! the food was delicious and the staff was super professional and kind! they even let us have the pastries to celebrate the birthday for free. A big shoutout goes to our waiters, Hridoy and Irina! that you for your professionalism and kindness.

9.5/10The leader of Mercante is Francesco, whose knowledge of the menu & the preparation was spot on.as well as the Italian wines. Our choices were excellent, reminding us of those we had in Italy. We could not have had a more “un pasto favoloso” .

10/10I originally made the booking for 7, but learned that I needed a table for 13! Once they confirmed they had the space that sat us right away. There were 13 in our party. The food was really good and the service was the best I have experienced in London! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to others!

9/10Staying just 2 nights at the Sheraton during Europe vacation. Really appreciate the simple/elegant breakfast service at the Mercante. Great selection of simple English breads as well as hot foods, fruit, several different juices. Staff very friendly and courteous to all guests. Tables cleared very quickly as folks leave. Lovely restaurant at 5 star Sheraton Grand Hotel on Piccadilly! I had the delicious + tender Dover Sole with Rosemary new potatoes! Service was excellent by friendly, attentive and very smartly dressed staff. Well worth a visit!

8.5/10Very nice good, head waiter provided excellent friendly service. Not sure if the waitress was new or not but she was forgetful and sloppy. Either way she would benefit from additional training, her lack of attention brought the service down despite the head waiter taking most of the responsibility, who incidentally provided excellent service and attention to detail.

6/10The setup was high price for high performance dinner Christmas Day - 5 dinner course, which turned out to be a 3 dinner course supplied with a very small appetizer, and a cop of coffee + 4 pieces of standard chocolate afterwards - not much high performance 5-dinner course. Further, the 5-dinner course was executed in around ONE hour. Not OKAY, not cozy. Never again.

4.5/10Appalling food. Chicken was inedible- couldn’t be cut by a chainsaw if we had one. Disappointingly and exceptionally small portion size. The ambience is nice- but you won’t go to a restaurant just for that. Many five star hotels have improved their cuisine in the last decade- but this one has failed to take on the positive changes. Will definitely NOT GO THERE again.

5.5/10It felt like a hotel with some seats left to make a restaurant, the food was honestly quite bad with a dry chicken milanese , over done steak and the rosemary potatoes and the chilli broccoli were genuinely really poor. However, the service was very good but the price of a ‘ bottle’ of beer was £6.50.

8.5/10While the food was average for Italian at a Mayfair restaurant, the servers Marina & Paulo made up for the average fare by agreeing readily to substitute the pizza for a risotto. The ambience was fine and the restaurant more than half full which wasn’t bad for a Wednesday night. Overall a good experience.

First time with the Italian cuisine so we had no idea with the menu. Lovely and kind stuff! Stuff explained menu well. I asked for halal options and only chicken and seafood are their halal options. I asked for recommendation and she guided us well. Even explained what is red sauce, white sauce… Even basics~ She was kind and helpful. She suggested her favourite starters as marinated olives, focaccia & olive oil, bread. Delicious! I can even go there just for their olives! Our glasses were never emptied because she always poured our water gently~ This was lovely. I had chicken milanese and my sis had linguine vongole. Chicken was delicious but I REALLY had hard time with cutting. Wasn’t juicy enough and hard to cut. Not sure if those knives were enough to cut it but my arm got tired of trying to cut, seriously :( Pasta was 10/10 no doubts. I had %50 discount coupon from TheFork Festival but they forgot to apply it even though I reminded them very beginning of the night. But they fixed so quickly so no problem at all~ But it is important to being careful and attentive. Definitely visit one more time for their pastas! Restaurant aesthetics so authentic and full of italian culture
