Excellent
Great food beautifully presented. Very good choices of starter and main with brownie and coffee for£9.90 on the express menu. Very efficient, friendly service. Very relaxed atmosphere with choice of 3 red and 3 white wines all zero percent. Made drinking from a wine glass seem normal again. Coffee great and very enjoyable lunch.
Food was amazing and really nice helpful staff will definitely be returning beef shin was outstanding and oysters were really fresh nice chocie of sauces.
Ŵe thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, food was delicious beautifully presented, and the staff were very attentive, and a very good choice of non alcoholic wine, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Very relaxing and great decor.
The welcome we received was very warm, genuine and sincere, once we were seated the gentleman waiter was over taking a drinks order etc. Very polite man. Food was served within an appropriate time scale and it was absolutely delicious. This was our first time there and we will certainly be back. Thanks for a wonderful welcome and a fantastic meal
Food was delicious, although portions were a bit small for adults , the beef was delicious but would be better with mash potatoes and a few carrots just to finish meal off ,
Lovely little restaurant just off the royal mile. The staff were very welcoming, food very good and the prices very reasonable. We would definable go back.
The starter of Mussels was great, I had the seafood platter main which was over cooked and the crab was especially dry, samphire strangely woody. I doubt any of the seafood was fresh. My wife had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly though the chips she had were over cooked and tasted like the last time I left baked potato in the oven far too long. The desert we shared (sticky toffee pudding) was very nice. This place is a real curate’s egg, though probably to be avoided unless you’re only after a steak with no sides.
Maybe by the bloody COVID 19 rules there was no an atmosphere at all. The first meal I ordered was a way to sour, it was fish > I got the fish bones , literally I had nothing to eat so after that I’ve been offered to change my choice. I’ve got the salmon which was definitely better but it was still too salty. My partner had the plate of mix seafood and it was very salty as well and the crab was too dry.
Fantastic place with nice friendly staff. Even when the restaurant started to fill up, it didn’t seem noisy. The food was excellent and you won’t be disappointed.
Good food, good service and excellent value for money
Very good value for money. Nice choice on special lunch menu and food and service were excellent. Will be going back very soon.
We been at Michael for Christmas dinner. I must say that the service was great from the beginning to the end. We ordered a mussels side to share, were a very good decision. Main was a fish meal with rissoto, was OK and sirloin steak that was irregular about clocking point. The experience was good but we expected something more, not the service, but about food level.
We found this restaurant very expensive Would only recommend this for special occasions
Absolutely fantastic. The ambiance created is unbelievable how I have never been to your establishment before drove me crazy as me and my wife love to eat out so will definitely be back and been telling friends and family all about it. On top of that staff at front of house just so pleasant and friendly and to then be presented with your amazing food was a delight we had oysters, mussels, steak bottle of wine, and toffee pudding and for your establishment I was expecting to pay over £100 and would have happily paid so you can imagine my surprise and delight to see a bill for £78 come back at me. Only slight constructive feedback is Booth’s seating are a bit far from table, but that’s it. Just an absolute delight will definitely be back and know doubt be a regular dinner. Thank you you have restaurant ratings and 5 stars across the board is not enough for this place 10/10 for me
Lovely food and friendly service. Fabulous mussels. Good value for money.
Excellent lunch deal. Food presentation was professional and we felt the food and wine was delicious and modestly priced.
