Overall it was nice however a couple of things, we were surprised that no one had noticed that a music track was on a constant loop for around 30 minutes until we pointed it out. We like Michael Buble' and we now know all the words to "you give me fever"! but ..............! We did feel that a couple more sandwiches might have been nice and maybe the choice to have the tea in the bar area where the atmosphere might have been better being there was just one other couple in that vast room.
Excellent selection of starters. Entertaining some friends who enjoyed the experience for the first time.
Very pleased with our visit, staff very welcoming and attentive. It was a very nice relaxing experience for Sunday lunch. The carvery was very impressive with a great selection of vegetables.
Booked to take my sister for Afternoon Tea as a birthday treat. We had a lovely table by the window (as requested). Lovely food, tea and service. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
The food was very good and an excellent variety although it was self service. All the food was replenished once it ran low. The staff were exceptional and could not do enough for us. I will be going back shortly.
Fantastic Sunday Lunch!
We enjoyed our visit to the Mulberry Restaurant The food was excellent and the service was very good and would certainly come again
When we arrived it was pouring with rain and we were greeted by a smiling gentleman with an umbrella who kindly walked us into the hotel, a lovely thoughtful touch. The food was, as always, delicious and our dietary needs catered for without a fuss. The service was impeccable. Always a relaxing and pleasurable experience at the Oatlands.
Lovely venue, beautiful dining room. Friendly helpful staff, at the bar ,in the lobby and in the Mulberry restaurant. We had a very elegant afternoon tea. Walked around the grounds by the lake. Very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.
Had afternoon tea and have to say good service lovely restaurant but the worst savoury selection I have eaten. Dry sandwiches and poor fillings
Afternoon tea was nice, however I have had better, the scones were a little over cooked and dry and cakes were nothing to rave about. The restaurant was completely empty so there wasn't much atmosphere, obviously the hotel can't be blamed for this but it's my 2nd visit and both times we've been alone in a big restaurant, maybe they could suggest we sit in the lobby bar or outside although the restaurant outside area wasn't set up with any tables so not sure this was an option. The waiters and all staff were really attentive and friendly. All in all it was nice but nothing special
Delicious afternoon tea
Both Nights we dined in the restaurant the staff were friendly and attentive
Very good experience. The environment of the dining hall and grounds is extremely pleasant. The food was well balanced and the range of teas was good to see. The portion sizes were adequate - not huge but collectively enough for an afternoon tea. The scones were quite small and not many currants in the fruit variety. We had to ask for additional clotted cream. Our decision to upgrade to the Prosecco lunch was well made.
Good food, love the veg selection, would like a nut roast option. Service always good and friendly.
Lovely setting for a birthday meal. Both main courses (lamb and steak) were delicious and perfectly sized. Service was attentive and friendly. Will certainly book again.
Wonderful experience.of Sunday carvery. Wide range of starters including fine choice of seafood. Good choice of meats and wide array of vegetables, all very tasty. Good choice of deserts with cheeseboard selection. Service is impeccable, but always in the background. Of course pristine white linens in characterful dining room overlooking the extensive grounds. Excellent value for money.
A pleasant approach to the dining area, a little band playing some good music - welcome from the staff - a very good selection of starters, main courses and desserts - relaxed atmosphere -
I haven't been here in a while and used to come alot. Finally it is the Easter holidays. Myself and my teacher friends needed a girlie day! We got served by Mahmoud and Richard. We received brilliant service by these 2 as always. The chef even came out to greet us. Thank you for always being so welcoming and treating us like royalty. Thank you again! Caitlyn
