The food was amazing as always and very reasonably priced for the amount of food you receive and the quality. The service was exceptional. I could not recommend Nam more. I first visited over 2 years ago when it was on itson (discount voucher site) and have continued to return many times. It's one of my favourite places in Edinburgh to eat.

The phozilla was so good. Big portion. The staff also asked if we wanted to add one more spring roll with an extra charge since there were only 2 in the set and we were three.

We always feel like family when we eat at Nam. The team are amazing and always remember us, the food and drinks are incredible, and the space has such a lovely cozy atmosphere. It's our favourite place to celebrate any special occasion in Edinburgh!

The spring rolls and the lotus wrapped chicken and sticky rice was amazing.The chicken pho could have more flavor and more options with the curry. overall it was a great experience. the staff were nice and friendly. ambience was good. highly recommended

Nam is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Edinburgh. The fresh spring rolls, beef pho, stir fried beef warm rice noodles salad, chicken rice in lotus leaves and pork belly rice were very delicious. Vietnamese coffee, Hanoi and Saigon beer were very good matches with the food. Highly recommended.

We have lived in Vietnam so we were both looking forward to dining here and it didn’t disappoint, we spoke with the owner/chef to tell her how good the food was and she is from HCM city so it is very authentic definitely recommend this place to eat

Brilliant setting and ambience. Food was good, but the noodles were too similar to pad thai and a little bland. Service was a little slow but they were attentive enough as it was busy.

Really disappointed with the food. Had expected much better after the good reviews. Food was mediocre at the best. Found a hair in my food as well but didn’t want to put my friend off their food so didn’t say anything. Portions way too big and menu small. Won’t be back

Beautiful ambience. Lovely, friendly staff. The food was quite a disappointment. My wife and I shared a Ban Mi that was extremely salty (and we don’t usually mind salty food). Then we had a house specialty duck noodle soup. It was really more of a gravy, as the chef inadvertently allowed it to reduce beyond being very enjoyable. We had just traveled from the US that day, and were exhausted, so we ate most of it. When our waitperson asked how everything was, my wife offered a kind critique. The chef came out and apologized profusely, admitting that she was aware of the error as the dish was being sent out, (but did not fix it). They offered to prepare something else but we were tired and full. They brought us complimentary desserts of coconut ice cream served in a coconut shell. That was great! I feel bad critiquing the food since everyone was so nice. Maybe it was just a bad day.

The current chef has lost the trick for the original thit kho tau. It was no longer tender. Lost the clever twist of star anise and far too sweet. This is rude but the chef needs to have a one on one session with Jodies mother or was it her step mother. Failing that lookup the standard recipe and ensure the pork is only cooked once. This is a guess but the pork was so tough and stringy, in my experience with any meat used "twice" it gets progressively stringy and hold no taste. Apologies for the criticism and remembering the original dish early days.
