9.5/10The waitress was very friendly and welcoming.. She advised us with the set menu and was agreeable to making changes to meet our needs. The food was delicious and plentiful. Only thing is that they do not have deserts.

8.5/10The cold drunken chicken dish was the stand out for me. An authentic ambiance being very clean, “festive” (for Chinese New Year) and friendly staff.

9.5/10This was a lovely chinese restaurant. It was appropriately priced and the service was excellent, the food very genuine and I enjoyed everything that was recommended. The ambience at 5pm could not be judged as we were one of 2 tables occupied, but this does not take away from the excellent food on offer.

10/10What a LOVELY place the owners have. Since the beginning the waitress was attentive, kind and making sure we were having a good experience. The food quality was awesome and the portions were very generous! The restaurant decor was so pretty. My friend and I were extremely happy to have found this little place :) I highly recommend it!

6.5/10The food is authentic; however, the execution could have been better ( for example, the fried rice is very oily, the dumpling fillings are not that yummy, and the sweet and sour vegetables were not good). They are obviously understaffed and the service is suboptimal.

10/10This family run Chinese Restaurant is a hidden gem near Barbican. The quality of food is just so much better than those at China Town. The quality of service is impeccable! We are a family of four who only eat Chinese food. We all agree that the each dish is reasonably priced and tastes authentic! We will definitely return to this restaurant in the near future.

10/10We really enjoyed our visit to New East House. The service was kind (and super fast) and the food... oh the food! Everything was delicious! We went before an event in the Barbican and it couldn't be more convenient, a few minutes walking and we were there. We'll definitely come back to try more things from their incredible menu :)

10/10Ordered a grilled fish and the taste was amazing. Also came with a lot of vegetables such as tomatoes and lotus roots. Really authentic Chinese grilled fish, table was spacious and the staff were super friendly. Just feel plain rice a bit overpriced, paid 7.6 pounds for two people, other than that all great.

5/10Came here with a colleague for lunch. My seafood noodles had hair in it and I didn’t want to cause issues and require a new dish to be made as we had limited time. Had to chase for water & it was very hot. Was provided with complementary wine for hair in food. Had to also chase for the bill.

10/10Great evening. The food was authentic and the service was impeccable. Would recommend to anyone seeking some Hot Pot in the city. Will be back again.
