I had a lovely vegan afternoon tea with friends. The only complaint, was that the scones and sandwiches were a bit scarce, and the variety of sandwiches available was limited.

It was a really lovely high tea. The food was great and really well presented. We loved the scones and such a lovely setting and ambiance and great service. I would certainly recommend this spot for high tea! Thank you!

Our afternoon in the restaurant was wonderful. The afternoon tea was delicious that came with a complimentary glass of prosecco which was most welcome. The staff, table setting and music were all delightful. Thank you for cheering us both up! (Neither of us liked the mini choux pastries though). A very minor thing concerning the table service... it might be useful to train the waiting staff to walk around the table to where the drinking glasses are, rather than to reach over people's place settings / plates of food so as to refil drinking glasses.

Great experience of the afternoon tea. Not that expensive, 22£ + service charges. Sandwiches, 2 scones, and miniature pastries, and teapot with milk. It was fulfilling, I was not hungry, neither thirsty until late night. The afternoon tea starts from 12:30pm (big plus, since in most of the other places it begins around 3pm). There are not a lot of people, so I got to enjoy the place, nicely decorated, with a view on the garden. I never felt rushed, and I got tea and milk refilled (jam and cream can be refilled). Scones with strawberry and raspberry jam, with the cream was the best, with the earl grey tea with milk !

Service and ambiance was excellent, and the view was gorgeous even in cooler, drizzly weather. I arrived earlier than my reservation and was the first diner for afternoon tea service, so was given my pick of seating. As a traveler who depends heavily on a smartphone to get around, I appreciated that there were convenient wall outlets adjacent to many tables so I could charge my phone while I ate. And as a solo traveler, I appreciated my server offering to take several photos for me and checking on me throughout the meal in a friendly but unobtrusive way. All of the finger sandwiches, bite-size desserts, and scones (superb with their clotted cream and 2 jams) were well-presented, delicious, and surprisingly filling. Earl grey tea was of excellent flavor and perfect temperature. Between the fantastic customer service, lovely table settings, absolutely beautiful garden views from the Orangery, and all of the delectable food and drink, it's truly too hard to pick just one 'best feature' at Number Sixteen.

Okay. Nice that they have gluten free. The garden is lovely. The actual good/tea was okay at best.

It was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely time. The Afternoon Tea was very tasty and substantial (we had to pack some of it to go), and I loved the tea selection in particular. I am not even going to start on the raspberry jam because I am getting hungry just thinking about it. It was heavenly.

It was fantastic! It was exactly what I was hoping to experience. Real English afternoon tea! The garden with flowers and colorful fish in the pond was so lovely , my setting in gazebo, their pretty china and the food and tea were great, ! And of course the friendly staff was absolutely the best!

A very sophisticated atmosphere with very filling food. The beef and horseradish dish was so delicious as as well as the raspberry tart and the scones were so beautifully warm and crumbly. The bread on the finger sandwiches was very soft but just the tiniest bit dry - that would be my only criticism if I’m being picky.

We came for afternoon tea while on holiday in London and had a wonderful experience at Number Sixteen. All of the staff were very friendly and professional and the food and tea were heavenly! We were lucky enough to have nice weather so could enjoy our tea outside. The beautiful garden really elevated the whole experience and made it quite unforgettable.
