I recently moved home to Tooting Bec and was overjoyed to discover that OK-13, formerly located in Balham, had relocated to Tooting Bec Road, steps away from Tooting Bec Underground station. A visiting friend from Texas afforded the perfect excuse to revisit this casual Argentinian restaurant. I’d previously declared OK-13 a “hidden gem”, and in its new (to me anyway) location, the gem has lost none of its luster. Every dish (and I think I’ve sampled most of them) was truly outstanding. We gorged ourselves on two nights this week on a variety of their delicious empanadas, amazing chorizo, pork and beef steaks, and octopus. Every single dish has been exceptional, and hosts Laura and Fernando are awesome. This is one of those restaurants that I would want to keep a secret if I didn’t want it to succeed so badly.
