9/10This place never disappoints. Consistently good food and service. In common with other restaurants there are lots of take out orders. For the first time one waiter brought our order with takeout bags in his other hand. It’s sad when takeouts impact dine in experience, and I hope this was a one off as it’s such a great place. Will definitely be back.

9.5/10Loved our Japanese dinner - tempura was delicious as was the miso salmon … reasonably priced and friendly attentive service . Really enjoyed our supper.

7/10Carpaccio would have been better served before spicy cauliflower.!! Both main dishes beef and chicken seemed to have the same sauce. Nice but a bit of after taste.

6/10We visit Barnes every summer and Oka is always one of our favourite places to eat. We usually eat here a couple times a week. However, this summer the service and atmosphere has declined. I say this after five different occasions. The staff were not familiar with their own menu which is not complicated. They were literally running through the very small dining area over and over again by several members of staff. Drinks were hot, food did not come out together. While half the dinner party finished their apitezers the others hadn’t received theirs yet. The food is very good and I have no complaints there. Last summer I felt the staff were managed better and they had a better table side repoire with its guests. It’s a shame. Even my 10 year old said maybe it’s not her favourite Barnes place to eat anymore after trying so many times and always getting poor service…. I hope they get the help they need front of house!
