8.5/10We were going to theatre nearby. Service was excellent with drinks and courses served very efficiently. Food was enjoyable but pretty basic. House wine awful.other more expensive options much nicer. Overall a great venue pre or post theatre.

7.5/10Service was friendly. Music a bit loud for lunchtime meeting over lunch - a bit obtrusive. it could have been lowered a little. The sourdough bread ordered as an extra with the soup was tough as nails! It was nicely warmed, but I think possibly a bit stale.

I always like coming here! The service is lovely and the food is tasty…I got the club from their lunch menu and whilst it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting I enjoyed it none the less! (I often think about their creamed spinach)

8/10We loved the venue and the food but the very slow service spoilt our visit. I wondered if they were short staffed but I felt that some were not very interested in us and we felt ignored most of the time. It was a shame and despite that I would go back if the slowness of today was an exception. We were a table of six. We had champagne which was not very cold and cost £100 and our other drinks that came with our meals were forgotten and we had to remind them which was not good either.

10/10Wanted a relaxed place for afternoon lunch and this was perfect. Only issue is the Fork booking system. didn't inform the restaurant of our booking. Thankfully only 2 of us so they were more the restaurant staff was more than happy to accommodate us x

8/10We're regulars here and love the place. Any other day our ratings would have been much higher. I had the chicken Caesar salad which in the past I've loved. This time however the chicken was overcooked and dry and there wasn't much dressing. Not up to usual standard. My friend's Club sandwich hit the spot though. And we'll be back.

8/10Welcoming staff. Had table for two hours pre theatre and plenty of time. Food was great. Our party had two steaks and lamb rump - all cooked perfectly to preferences, curry, ham and seafood linguine - delicious. Had one of the booths and it was very comfortable. As with all London restaurants can feel a bit noisy at times but we were able to have great conversations. Would recommend.

8/10we had booked the pre Theatre dinner but when we arrived they gave us the main menu, not the pre Theatre one so we had to ask but the Maitre'd should have noticed from our booking. other than that, the place was lovely and lively and food was great!

10/10We were recommended this restaurant by a friend who is now my favourite friend as it is one of the best places to visit in London thw atmosphere and staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was a hassle can't recommend them highly enough

6/10I am a veggie, and I'm only speaking from this viewpoint. So, there is limited choice for vegetarians and vegans there. I ordered a plant-based burger, and it was disgusting, perhaps because I hardly eat any processed food. Everything, from plant-based cheese to ketchup, tasted like plastic. The only good things about this eatery were the matcha latte with oat milk (no matcha powder lumps found) and the ladies!

9.5/10We had a fantastic time with the table service and food being excellent. The only disappointment was, considering this was my first visit, was the welcome on arrival. The lady (in a red jacket) was slightly on the rude and abrupt side telling me I didn't have a reservation and was somewhat put out when I showed her my confirmed reservation on my phone. She scrolled through the reservation and then just said 'follow me' ... an apology would have been nice!

7/10We regularly go to the brasserie as we love the food, service and atmosphere was great as usual starters was really nice but they have changed the lamp rump on the menu and it’s not nice at all, It used too be a piece of lamb with dauphinois potatoes and vegetables and now it’s just little chunks of chewy lamb which tasted very cheap and with what tasted like boiled potatoes and this horrible gravy! Will go back but never order the lamb again it was beautiful as it was don’t like why they changed it.

4.5/10Terrible service. Poor table management glasses and plates took ages to be cleared. The wait staff were difficult about drinks orders we kept getting told we couldn’t have one drink without the muddled cucumber and then they checked with the bar tender and it was actually doable. The second time I ordered the same drink they brought a classic margarita which had Tabasco rather than jalapeño syrup and the server assured me it was the same drink. When the bill came it was clear they never intended to make the same drink again as the second drink had been put through as a classic not the special margarita. My friend also had problems order, asking multiple times for a Tommy margarita and only on the 5th order was he actually brought this. Every other time it was just a classic. It seems like the staff are really low on cocktail knowledge and the bartenders don’t keep to spec. Being told you got what you order when you clearly didn’t is incredibly poor customer service. It was hard to get served in general despite reserving in advance. Water wasn’t topped up, glasses and plates weren’t cleared to the end and no one checked to see how I meal was. So even if we did have a problem we couldn’t communicate this. All in all just a pretty shoddy experience for such a high bill. We all work in hospitality and the last time we came to old Compton we had great service and everyone was very hospitable and the cocktails were exactly what we asked for. Will be thinking twice before returning.

Excellent restaurant! We booked and were seated straight away at a lovely cool table as it was 30 degrees + outside. We told them we needed to be out for the theatre and was served very quickly. But to be honest all the tablets had very good service. The food was absolutely beautiful, from salad, duck, pork belly to buttermilk chicken burger. Chips were to die for. It had a lovely atmosphere and we will definitely come back to enjoy a longer stay.

7/10The service was friendly, efficient and quick as we were going to the theatre. The menu had a wide choice of the usual kinds of dishes for the most part. We wouldn’t go again because it seems to attract large groups of noisy adults who try to outdo each other The thumping music doesn’t help. Not for couples or families who want to be able to talk together.

9.5/10Very pleased that I booked for an early dinner pre theatre at this fabulous restaurant. In the very heart of Soho it was buzzing even at 5pm. Our table was upstairs on the mezzanine floor. The only negative really as it felt a little claustrophobic with tables very close together. Service was fantastic. Friendly welcome, order taken in a timely way and food arrived without too much of a wait. Food was totally delicious. I had salmon cooked to perfection and OH had the pork belly also totally delicious.

5.5/10The bill was incorrect and if my friend hadn't checked -- we would have overpaid. After `````` couple of drinks people don't check and one trust's the Manager is overlooking things. The restaurant gets very busy and the service gets bad to worse and the noise -- ones goes to eat here not hear loud music and end up shouting during conversations. Fast is not always the best way. And they need to change their food menu - it's the same and a bit limited. The Steak was awful -- too much fat!!

10/10The service at the restaurant is really very good - the staff look like they are having fun, which adds to the experience of being in Soho. The food is lovely and we always leave with a smile on our faces. Thanks for a great Birthday celebration !
