The perfect meal! Wonderful plates of food with very well thought out ingredients. Great wine pairing, and tiptop friendly service. Even the spacing of the tables was ideal. And all in the fabulous surroundings of the historic Smithfield Market. Can’t wait to come again..!

Great food, wine and service. We also had a tour of their facilities. The sous chef explained where their meat is reared in Scotland and showed us where it hung to age. How the cuts of meat become available only when they are ready. I whole heartedly recommend you try this restaurant- you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding! Warm welcome, beautifully-designed room with perfectly-judged décor, lighting, exactly the right balance of hard surfaces (mellow natural woods) and soft furnishing so that noise levels were neither too much nor too deadening. Really interesting menu around farm-sourced meat impeccably cooked - we're not vege, but those options also looked really well thought through. We tried snacks, a starter, mains - all superb: special mention for truffled alpine cheese arancini, whipped cod's roe and Texel lamb with mini shepherd's pie that just spoils you for lamb from anywhere else. Really interesting wine list at incredibly reasonable prices thanks to connections with shippers and growers; and an extra birthday treat delivered with great charm. I have not eaten so well at a London restaurant for a very long time.

Opposite St. Barts on Circular Road, this restaurant offers a beautiful ambiance with maroon columns, rust-colored walls, and stunning artwork. Crisp white tablecloths add a classic touch, with a bar welcoming you on the left and the kitchen visible straight ahead. The experience began well with complimentary sourdough bread and nduja butter, which was delicious. However, the food itself was a bit underwhelming. The foie gras terrine was more terrine of other meat than of foie gras, with pockets of meat that masked the foie flavor, falling short of expectations. The Sunday beef roast also left mixed impressions. What shone in the roast were the crispy meat croquette, the gem cabbage, caramelized onions, and rich gravy—all delightful. But the beef lacked depth, tasting more like a standard cut rather than a high-quality one, even though it was nicely cooked medium-rare. The service is slow, they have inexperience waiters. We have to call them to be served !! The restaurant is full of 'small flies' circulating around our table & flying around, they need to steam clean & spray thoroughly with chemical throughout. I could report this to Food Standards Agency. We were not going to pay the 15% service charge because of the above reason but my other sister ended up paying the final bill. We went there in April this year ; we have had a much better service then especially with that manager who has left. The sparkling wine which included in the set menu was 'flat' , no gases at all ; when I asked about it, the manager said it was like this . Totally , we were disappointed , especially the occasion was for my 'younger twin siblings' joint birthday dinner & one of them came from New York to London . Base on the present standard , I will not recommend anyone to Origin City !!!!

When we booked we've said it's a birthday celebration. We haven't expected anything and haven't asked, but was treated to a Birthday Macaron at the end which was brilliant! Although sometimes it took a bit longer to get their attention, staff were generally attentive (it was a busy night) and cared from the start (coat storage) throughout the meal. Food quality was top notch - slightly pricey though the Yums coupon helped. Shoutout to the seafood platter which is commendable both in size and freshness, as well as the lamb stew.

l can see this becoming my City restaurant to go to, with others now closed or have changed hands. The wine list offers a good choice and at very cheap prices for the quality. Food is a very good quality with dishes that you don't usually get in other places. I was with my wife this time who enjoyed it very much. But looking forward to going back with a friend that will share a casserole with me. The staff are excellent friendly and very efficient.

I would like to say thank you to the staff for making our anniversary super special, we eat out a lot but this service was the best we have received! The lamb main was tender and tasty, would recommend this dish. The extra efforts throughout the evening made this occasion very memorable.

Excellent service by all team members but the gentleman that served us (forgot the gents name but he was from Tunisia) was fantastic with excellent customer services skills very professional and really helpful. Top class we do highly recommend.

Excellent restaurant. This is my first time to have Scottish cuisine in London. Easy to reach location; and nice quiet atmosphere inside the restaurant itself. Waitresses are really friendly as well. Dishes are quite creative - an eye-opening experience. To top it up, they serve complimentary little soup, liqueor and dessert for free and make you feel really valued.
