The bill for 2 was £425. We had 2 half bottles of wine and the tasting menu. The food was good not outstanding and I thought the whole experience was way overpriced!!!! Have eaten in better food for less.

Seafood Raviolo was very salty, Beef was also covered with salt, and slightly well done for a medium, rhubarb dessert was bitter and sour, food tonight wasn’t great, service however is simply magnificent, very professional and helpful staff, well experienced head sommelier, who made our night absolutely memorable as ever, huge thanks to him.

The food was extremely good. The service was very attentive. It is rather cheeky to add 14.50% service + £2.00 per person cover charge + charitable donation of restaurant choice. Either a cover charge or service, but don’t add both automatically.

Staff were attentive from the moment I arrived until I departed 3 hours later. Each course, beautifully presented and served. Wines to accompany, selected with assiduous care and attention. Sincere thanks to everyone for making our visit to The Orrery such an enjoyable occasion. We will certainly be back to sample the next season’s menu.

Feels like you’ve entered a restaurant in the 70’s in terms of food. The restaurant was dead on a Saturday lunch and absolutely no ambiance! All good reviews must be fake reviews!

Underwhelming on arrival - lots of excess furniture in the entrance hall , hardly a promising start. Food was delicious but the lighting very bright which I don’t think helped the atmosphere.

Had a nice lunch with my daughter. service was prompt. Only half the tables were occipied but they crowded us on one side, having a nice conversation was not the best with the next table so close by. Seafood raviolo stuffing was slightly off, lobster bisque was good. The Dorset crab was well balanced with mango and wasabi. The seabass herb crust was good, the mushroom roll was too much. Cod could add some capers or pancetta bits, just my preference. Overall a good experince

Service and food excellent. Booking process poor. Because we were a table of eight for a birthday celebration, we were made to jump through a number of hoops. I specifically asked for a table by the window and was surprised on arrival to find scaffolding and sheeting covering the building so it was impossible to look out of the windows. The building work was also noisy. We had not been informed of this prior to our visit. The restaurant offered us a glass of Prosecco each which was a nice gesture.

My guest & I chose the prix fixe menu, and chose the sea bass option for the main course, which incurred a supplemental charge of £20 each. I think that was an excessive supplemental charge for an unexceptional dish… very disappointing.

Fine cuisine, professional service, tables generously spaced, quiet, no Muzak when we arrived, minimal later.

Seared foie gras on toasted bread, topped with dark fruit compote and garnished with fresh herbs.
Crispy pastry topped with shredded seafood or protein, yellow elements for sweetness, green herb sauce for creaminess, and garnished with microgreens for freshness.

Food, wine, service. I really love this restaurant - never disappointed!

Dorset crab was overpowered by the wasabi avocado, lamb wellington was simply raw not pink, they were worried that if it’s cooked more, it would’ve burnt the puff pastry, few days ago I had the lamb wellington and it was perfect. Dessert was pineapple, citrus jelly and coconut was just liquid and I suspect that the liquid came from the fruits, it had a strong flavour. Again, they just kept refilling our wine glasses while they were half full. One couldn’t have a private conversation in there.

In general the food was superb. I'd recommend skipping on the bread to start if you want to manage all three courses of the fixed price menu. Staff were very helpful: One member, when I requested a menu without the prices for a guest, specially printed it. However, there was a low level of English with some staff which caused some difficulties. Only food downside was that the side of broccoli was very plain, and the red cabbage side was too sweet.

Should be called the Creamery as each dish was loaded with cream and dulling the delicate flavours. The asparagus soup was bland, the seafood ravioio undercooked and the cod came with a Stange apple sauste - yuk! Just doesn’t pair with fish and again swamped with cream. They helpfully put the calories on the menu and every course is 1000 plus- best avoided if you want a light healthy lunch, Very disappointing

Don’t be fooled by the quiet ambience !! Imaginative Menu, artistically presented with good size portions -and excellent service. Noise level was moderate when full,; you could carry on a conversation without yelling. Large and well priced wine list Would return again

Artfully arranged sashimi drizzled with citrus sauce, garnished with dill and microgreens, accompanied by a bowl of salad and rustic bread with butter.

The service was impeccable the food delicious.

Very strange - ordered two glasses of champagne - for some reason they arrived - very obviously short measures. Not the best start. Asked them to correct which they did. Menu is set - this was not made clear at time of booking. Service a bit snooty. Not warm and friendly. They need to learn it is better to be welcoming. All in all very disappointing. Wont be coming back. Too many other places in the surrounding area to choose from.

We had a nice evening, but I felt the food could've been better and the prices were too high. The restaurant finds ways to add additional fees such as including a 4£/person cover charge which we didn't have at any other restaurants in London (including another French restaurant). Also, there are supplemental charges of 20£ on many of the appertizer and main course options/choices so the dinner instantly becomes more expensive. A glass of champagne is poured as 1/5 of a bottle instead of 1/4. So the evening ends up being far more expensive than one would think it would be or that we thought it was worth. The food was good but not outstanding. We both had the big raviolo in lobster bisque which they highly recommended. The lobster bisque was flavorful but way too salty and the pasta was really not great. Our main courses were good. We liked the location and atmosphere and the service was attentive. Just too expensive for what you get overall.
