Our Sunday lunch was a big disappointment. I will not return to this restaurant again - I will patronise the Osip Bistro - but having driven from Bristol excitedly due to the alluring reports we arrived at 11.35hrs for a 12.00hrs sitting - early yes - but the greeting by the bearded front of house ‘waiter’ cold!: : ‘you’re early - you’ll have to take a seat and wait!’ Considering it was made clear at the booking that we were allocated a specific time to eat we of course arranged to arrive early!! The Chef Patron was not there at any point (Sunday 27 Oct Kingsettle Hill). Whilst the menu - a mystery tour - had entertainment value and the subsequent waiters all lovely, the food, though very concentrated in flavour was the smallest modern sized ‘bites’ we’ve ever experienced and we’re seasoned Michellin starred modern cuisine ‘groupies’! The kitchen has a full length floor to ceiling glass wall over looking the field beyond. Even that is not novel! 2 small glasses of wine lunch £239!
