10/10An excellent dinner at Osteria Basilico. We dined on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was very busy, with a happy buzz. After devouring a basket of their warm focaccia dipped into oil and balsamic, we shared a frittura di calamari, lightly battered and melt in your mouth. The vitello special and the spaghetti alle vongole were perfectly cooked and delicious. We cleaned our plates. Even with the restaurant and patio full, the service was attentive and the pause between starter and main was appreciated. Highly recommended.

5.5/10We were a group of four friends who visited Osteria Basilikum with high expectations of a good Italian meal. The disappointment was total when we were shown down to the basement where we were given a table with a view straight into the toilets. The air conditioning blew icy cold air so that we froze even though it was a warm evening. We were given the option of sitting outside under an awning, but at the risk of getting wet we declined. If it had been possible to book a table elsewhere at short notice, we would have gone ahead. Even with good food and pleasant service, the experience was a disaster because of the table we were given in the basement. My clear advice is to choose another restaurant if you are offered a table in the basement.

8/10The food was very tasty and the service very good and professional. The noise in the restaurant is sometimes overwhelming as you cannot hear your own guests talking. Furthermore I had my chair backing onto the wooden staircase so every time someone came up or went down .. the floor shook and me with it!! Not very comfortable!

9.5/10WOW! LOVED the food in this authentic restaurant tucked away off the main drag. The pasta dish I had with shrimp, tomato’s, and zucchini was by far a home run. The pasta was cooked and seasoned with a fish stock to perfection. It needs a good housecleaning from wiping down the oil and vinegar bottles on the table to some tlc especially in the restrooms as after all… what you see in the restrooms is an indication of the cleanliness of the kitchen. I would definitely recommend this little gem.

10/10Have been eating at osteria basilico regularly for the last 20 years and not been disappointed once. Food is very good. Service is professional. Tables are small but it just creates a more cosy atmosphere. Love it.
