8/10The staff are all lovely. But I ordered duck for evening meal and had to send it back twice, it was like shoe leather. I ended up ordering the portobello mushroom burger which was OK, could have done with more generous helping of brie. Breakfast was good 👍

5/10Service was good… food was mediocre and way over priced. We had 4 different dishes and no one was happy with their meal. Very pricey for what felt like borderline cafeteria food.

7/10I decided to try slow beef ragout. I was disappointed that it looked like a stew as it was not made with tomatoes as per the recipes I googled later just to check I was correct in thinking it was made with tomatoes. Every recipe contained 2 tins for every 500g of beef

6.5/10Overall for the price of the evening meal it was shall I say “uninspiring”. My burger was over cooked and although my wife asked for her fillet steak to be medium , that again was over cooked. For the price you charge for fillet steak(£36), surely a tomato and some mushrooms would be a nice touch, not just 4 lettuce leafs and some fries! .

9/10Recently visited whilst on a spa break for a friend's 50th birthday at Park Royal in Warrington. The menu choice was good, and also catered for one of our groups being gluten free. We had excellent service from a young man called Oliver who could not do enough for us.. There was a wide selection for breakfast, too.

5/10Chose a pork schnitzel, obviously not freshly pan-fried at a restaurant, a batter rather than breadcrumbs which were separating from a tough slice of pork.No choice of vegetables a plateful of curly kale, a re-boiled whole carrot no flavour, mash. Had a poke taste of the 3 items and returned the complete dish to the kitchen. Offered something else declined, offered mall money back, and DECLINED. The next evening visited local Pizza Express

7/10The restaurant service and atmosphere was great along with the salt and pepper squid which was delicious. But the main course Ribeye steak for myself and two colleagues was extremely fatty for a steak that normally has marbling across it but will melt in your mouth as its been rendered during the cooking process but these steaks were very fatty with lots of the steak having to be cut off as it was inedible. Expected much higher quality steaks for £36 each and extra for the sauce

7.5/10I went to the QHotel in Crewe for my birthday in January and I’ve got to admit that I preferred the food there. The menu had a wider variety of options to choose from and it tasted better

4.5/10We were disappointed with the whole experience The afternoon tea was basically a rip off, Several menu options were unavailable from the al a carte dinner menu. The staff were amenable but inexperienced The breakfast buffet wasn’t very attractive, tea and coffee limited access. I’ve had better breakfast in Holiday inn express and not charged extra All in all I have the impression that uk hotels are trying to claw back lost revenue with higher prices and reduced quality and service.

6/10The staff were great, however the venues interpretation of a crime brûlée was somewhat different!! A Biscuit base with a creamy cheese top, decorated with a fruit sorbet and some fresh raspberries?? Not quite a brûlée but the staff insisted that it was the restaurant’s interpretation of a brûlée. In mitigation we were not charged for it.

6/10The table was set but was next to the bar in a dark room. with no other guests Staff were pleasant and allowed us to relocate to a table near the window. Service was prompt and hot drinks fine, However the sandwiches although fresh were basic, fillings egg, ham, cheese and tuna. 7/10The food was average, it would appear that there is very little communication between the staff at the hotel. I had booked a cream tea for 2.30pm on the 30th, at the reception they agreed it was booked, come 2.30 I had to ask only to be told ,"no booking" they brought out this so called cream tea, 1 plain small scone (dry) jam, butter and half frozen cream. When it came to the evening meal I requested Thai Green Chicken curry both nights it wasn't one, I took the matter up with the restaurant manager, she apologised it's not good enough, the chief should adjust the menu daily. We also asked for an Eton mess which consisted of cream and frozen fruit, no Meringue what so ever. we have stayed there many times and the food was excellent , this time total let down.

10/10The hotel experience from check in to leaning was excellent the staff were polite & friendly especially Ollie in the restaurant , he served us with a smile & very polite , I think the staff are your saving grace as the prices for the drinks were extortionate , & in the current climate need to be looked at , no special offers or deals on the drinks or cocktails

8.5/10After a poor start in the bar for lunch where the Caesar salad and pulled pork wrap was inedible Becky stepped in and made our stay amazing. The so facilitates were good and the evening meal was excellent again we were served by Becky who was fab very attentive and the food in the restaurant was superb. The staff on reception were lovely very helpful and friendly. So all in will definitely come again just won’t have lunch in the bar.

5/10We asked for afternoon tea , what we got was a scone and a coffee for 30 pound for 4, not worth the money , especially when we were expecting sandwiches and a mixture of cakes It was my husband’s birthday and he loves cakes which it why we booked it I felt very let down

6/10I ate at the restaurant because I was staying at the hotel. The starter I got wasn't what I ordered but was tasty anyway. The main (pork belly) arrived belly up with the crackling in the sauce. Unfortunately, the cracking wasn't very well cooked and sticky rather than crunchy. The restaurant was quite cold and some of the furniture could do with a dust. Service was friendly but I wouldn't have been very happy to spend my own money on this meal.

5.5/10I'd booked online for the restaurant, but was told it was closed as it was a quiet day after New Year. Menu in the bar instead was limited, nothing hugely exciting - probably because I'd read the restaurant menu online though so was looking forward to trying that though. Food was OK, but not the best quality for the price being charged.

10/10Very nice food. The only issue we had was we did book for afternoon tea and checked with reception the day before to confirm but on actual day they told us we hadn’t booked even after I showed booking confirmation. They lady on the bar was lovely but it just felt a little bit like each department didn’t really communicate with each other. Very nice food though would have been perfect except the hiccup

7.5/10The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. There was a very long wait for food, despite only being 5 tables in, but once we got it, the quality was lovely. Disappointing though that my mum was really looking forward to the apple crumble- which was on the menu but not available. She instead opted for a latte, only to find that the coffee machine was broken. Despite this, we would still come back to eat again and really rate the staff and taste of the food!

6/10Food was delicious but we were kept waiting quite a while for our afternoon tea to arrive despite booking in advance. When the afternoon tea arrived it was only for two people as opposed to the three people we had booked for. A further wait for an extra one to be prepared for us. Bit disappointing really given the price.

3/10The staff took some time to find my booking for afternoon tea. They said my booking through The Fork was on a different system and they were not aware of it! Then we had to wait 45 minutes for the food to arrive with no explanation . The food had no resemblance to what was advertised, We had one scone each instead of the advertised 2 each and the cake selection was a selection of small buns in different flavours again bearing no resemblance of what was advertised on the Park Royal website when I booked. The jam served with the scones was thick and gelatinous. The staff did not keep us up to date as to why there was a 45 minute delay in the food but when asked they were polite and apologetic. The afternoon tea was served in the reception of the hotel which is also the bar. Again the website suggested that we would be in a more private place. On request they set the table in a corner with a tablecloth. The afternoon tea was to celebrate a friend’s significant birthday and the experience was spoilt by not providing what was advertised. The manager was not available when I asked to speak to him but a polite and the only member of bar staff discounted the bill by a third. Would NOT recommend afternoon tea at the Park Royal
