The renovations have been tastefully undertaken. The serving staff were all pleasant but too busy for the number of clients, resulting in food not being served at the same time. The jasmin rice was overcooked and dish definitely not worth £20. All the coffees were cold and had to be replaced but these were charged as additional coffees on the bill. It took three attempts to sort out the bill. We don’t feel people will rush back, owing to the charges made for the food. These are observations to be considered.

Food good but prices increased dramatically since the reopening following the refurbishment. Two of the cheaper dishes around the £16/£17 mark had sold out, so that tells you that people are not prepared to pay £20-£27 for the remainder of the menu. It will be interesting to see once the new year comes round and the novelty has worn off, how busy this place is!

Very understaffed this evening and one of our steaks was extremely fatty although I realise that this isn't the restaurants fault. That said food was tasty and the substandard steak was kindly removed from the bill.

A wonderful pub restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the staff were very sincere and helpful. It was definitely service with smiles. The food was excellent and hot! The sirloin steak was cooked as requested and is certainly recommended. The real ale was well kept and tasted superb. We will be back.

On arrival there were three things requested from the menu that were not available. I ordered a steak medium well it was very well done. My friend ordered a well done which was so tough he couldn’t eat. I thought it was poor that a steak costing £21.95 did not have any garnish or peas with it. My husband ordered gammon and it was a pork chop!

What a lovely evening we had. We are a group of bereaved ladies and call our little group the forget-me-nots... the staff were aware and looked after us so beautifully. From our table which was tucked away right through to the superb and respectful and friendly attentiveness with the service. The food and perfect too! Thank you, I'm sure we'll return for many more little meetings. ❤️

My bill was incorrect, however when it was pointed out it was corrected straight away. Lovely waiting staff, great food. Not too busy and felt very safe.

We were greeted warmly when we arrived and shown straight to our table, the two members of staff who waited on us were smart polite and attentive, food was served promptly with a smile ! . Food was well presented and good. Nothing seemed to much trouble for the staff. It wasn’t the Ritz .. but for £30 for a Sunday dinner for 2 with drinks …. Can’t fault it ????. Would I go again ? Absolutely
