The venue is lovely and the staff were fab. Unfortunately, the food wasn't up to it's usual standard. three of us had the scampi and chips which was quite 'over cooked'.

We're vegetarian and had checked the menu before we went to make sure there were options we liked. There were quite a few veggie dishes so we booked. When we got there they only had one veggie option and a salad. The only things not in stock were the veggie options. It felt like they didn't bother ordering things in, which was disappointing. The barman who we asked where our table was at the beginning, came and checked on us a little after. We said there were no veggie options so we had booked somewhere else and he said he would check with the kitchen. We said when we asked the bar staff about the veggie options they said 'oh yeah, we're out'. The original barman said he would ask the kitchen as they do sometimes have it in stock but don't update the tills. But we'd already booked elsewhere so left. Lovely barman, but disappointing everything else.

when we arrived the table wasn't ready even though it was booked. I ordered our food and they missed one food order off and offered no discount as a gesture of good will just told us itll take an extra 15min and to pay at the bar!!. 2 meals were ordered with chunky chips and came with fries. The gammon was burnt and we asked for water and had to chase it up at the bar. the majority of the food was lovely but all the errors has made me reluctant to come back.
