The venue cannot cater for big groups. We as a group of 8 was separated onto 2 tables. The rice pots took around 25-30mins to make so the restaurant offered a free udon to kill our hunger which was quite nice of them. However, the food arrived with orders being mixed up. When we finished and asked for the bill, 20% off offer from the fork was not applied and we had to ask the waitress to apply it. A revised bill returned to us but still with one of the a la carte items not having the offer applied. There wasn't time for us to check the bill properly and the card machine wasn't working at the same time so under chaos we were rushed to pay and leave. We only realised the mistake on the bill after!

The Taiwanese fried chicken is nothing special which is too bad cuz it could easily be yummy. Based on the dishes I tried, I opted not to try the French toast as dessert.

We ordered some drinks while waiting for others to come but later on i stopped having it cause i say the glass was broken but when i showed them they didn’t even asked if i still wanna have the drink. Starter portion was quite small but it was good. In mains we tried their rice bowls which was good portion but we quite love a bit spicy food so we asked for a chilli sauce that came in a really small plate and when we asked for another they gave us, cause 4 of us were having it the chilli sauce were not enough when we asked a lady staff for chilli sauce she gave us in the same small plate and told us that no more chilli sauce we were quite shocked and then she came to another table with chilli sauce and gave it to them. Honestly they can say that for chilli sauce it’s gonna cost a certain amount instead of being so rude, but still if customers wants something then there should be a way of saying things. Only good part was the service provided by a waiting staff rocky if im not wrong.

The food was pleasant but not authentic. The texture of the Cheung fun with foie gras was wrong and the foie gras was over cooked. I had the pork patty (on rice) which was quite heavily flavoured. I can make better at home. The chicken with shiitake wasn’t bad. We had the yuzu cheesecake for dessert. The texture was creamy but you couldn’t taste the yuzu. The space was nice and I thought the service was punctual. However they could have wiped our tables after clearing them as there was split soya sauce. Overall ok for a one time western experience of Chinese food, but I wouldn’t go again.

Ambiance was really good, lovely restaurant but our waiter was a little odd, started clearing half the table when there were still people eating and then handed the bill saying “did you not want the bill?” Had the rice pot which was ok but a little burnt on the bottom.

The rice and the meat are very tasty, good amount of crispy rice was formed on the side of the pot. The special soy sauce matches the rice very well, it enhanced the taste of the rice by adding just small amount. Couldn't stop eating!

Lovely food, lovely interior and lovely staff. Their menu is quite unique which makes the experience fun as you may not be able to easily find other places here in the UK with such rice-in-a-pot dishes, and more importantly once the food arrives at your table, you won't be disappointed with the flavours - everything seemed just about right!
