Wonderful experience for my husbands 50th birthday. Staff were excellent, the sommelier was happy to explain about the wines and dessert was an extra special showpiece made even better, being served by the head chef. Highly recommend.

First time at Purnells for all of us and we loved it. Great balance between taste and presentation, both of which were excellent. V good wine list too. Friendly, informal service. Very slightly let down by the ambiance which was a bit subdued but overall we had a great meal experience.

A fabulous experience from start to finish with some interesting and different food, starting with edible charcoal and ending with a spectacular finish with a peppermint cloud. Service and food were excellent. We came away with memories which will remain with us for a long time.

I went with the tasting menu for my 30th birthday. Food was amazing. Delicious. Staff were also amazing, constantly catered for and very polite. Fantastic customer service. Ambience, i dont know if its everyones appeal but i wouldve preffered better lighting, bit of background music and the decor is a little outdated.

A little underwhelmed, food was good but not great, service was attentive but seemed a little slow at times. The dining room was unusual to say the least, 2 1/2 hours looking at picture frames that were not level, wallpaper that was just odd and empty tables, many empty tables.

Dined for my mum's birthday. Amazing food and wine. It's become my favourite restaurant and I'll keep coming back. It seems expensive over all but if you break down what you actually get and the talent and artistry that goes into each dish the value is very very good. I would 100% recommend.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary and the attention the staff gave us and accommodating our requests (when they didn’t have to) was impeccable and amazing. We had the chef’s table menu tonight which was extremely good value for what was served, and we will be back again for the full tasting menu in a month’s time. Absolutely cannot wait.

The attention to detail is unbelievable, from serving staff to the Sommelier so knowledgeable and warming. The food was just the best as Glynn does! A dining experience and a tasting journey to remember. Chef and his team are amazing, and so great to spend time with him after service. He is so grounded and funny. Thank you for the most wonderful birthday experience.
