9/10The food was fantastic. The service and staff were amazing! the only negative was the AC was not working well and it was super hot! they stepped right up and put out a big fan which really helped and made us much more comfortable. Thank you again Raval restaurant for a wonderful meal and outstanding service.

10/10Indulging in a meal at this Indian restaurant was an experience that truly exceeded my expectations. Having been captivated by the glowing reviews on both TripAdvisor and Google, I eagerly anticipated the culinary adventure that awaited me. Having had the pleasure of dining at some of London's most esteemed Michelin-starred Indian establishments, I can confidently affirm that Raval stands shoulder to shoulder with the very best. Its numerous accolades are certainly well-deserved. Raval unquestionably reigns supreme as the premier Indian dining destination in the Newcastle area. Following a recent football match, I hastily secured a table at Raval, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped inside, the exquisite cuisine, inviting ambiance, and impeccable service worked in harmony to create an unforgettable dining experience. Given the remarkable experience, I strongly advise prospective diners to make advance reservations, as securing a table can be quite a stroke of luck. I wholeheartedly endorse savouring the delightful tandoori king prawns and lamb railway curry—each dish is an absolute triumph. The affable staff further enhance the dining experience, and were I still residing in the Newcastle Gateshead locale, I would undoubtedly find myself indulging in their culinary offerings on a weekly basis.

10/10This was my first visit to Raval, and after thoroughly researching Newcastle's dining scene and reading glowing reviews on both Google and TripAdvisor, I felt compelled to give it a try. I decided to take the plunge and make a reservation. Upon arrival, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality from the staff, who made me feel right at home. Their friendly and professional demeanour added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, and I must extend my gratitude for their exceptional service. As I perused the menu, I was struck by the exciting and modern twists on traditional Indian dishes. Raval's commitment to innovation is evident in every dish, with bold flavours and imaginative combinations that promise a culinary adventure. From the tantalising Maski Chicken Tikka Masala (butter chicken masala) to the vibrant and aromatic curries, each bite was a revelation. Overall, my experience at Raval surpassed all expectations. The restaurant's dedication to pushing culinary boundaries while staying true to the essence of Indian cuisine is truly commendable. I highly recommend Raval to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Newcastle. Five stars all around! In addition to the outstanding cuisine and service, Raval boasts a great location, conveniently situated near the Hilton, Newcastle Quayside, and Glasshouse, right on the Newcastle Tyne Bridge. While the prices may not be comparable to local tandoori houses, it's important to note that Raval is an à la carte restaurant offering exceptional value for the quality of food and experience provided.

10/10My recent dining experience at Raval Indian Restaurant left me thoroughly impressed. The food was superb, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant itself was beautifully appointed. What sets Raval apart is its fantastic wine selection and its departure from the typical Indian curry house experience. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Tikka salad, which was bursting with flavour, and the beautifully cooked lamb cutlets. It was evident that the dishes were freshly made, and the food tasted remarkably fresh. Located just a stone's throw away from the Hilton Hotel, Raval is a bustling establishment, often frequented by hotel guests. Despite its popularity, the service remained attentive and efficient throughout my visit. Having dined at some of the best Indian restaurants across the UK, I can confidently say that Raval deserves a top spot on the list. I am already looking forward to returning with family and friends for another memorable dining experience.
