2/10Chicken came out super dry and burnt, asked for another portion, took 45 minutes, manager would only refund half the meal, chips and sides had gone cold by the time the new chicken came out and all parties had finished there meals already

10/10My first visit to Red Dog Saloon. The service was amazing, not over the top. The food tasted so good, I didn’t feel rushed and had an amazing lunch. I will visit again.

2/10Service was rubbish. We complained about the starters being cold and nachos being stale. We’re going to pay for what we had and leave as we had also waited over an hour for our mains. But The mains then came out they were not nice either fries stone cold and covered in flavourless plastic cheese and what I think was supposed to be steak! We didn’t have any check back about our mains at the complaining about starters and we’re not offered any additional drinks. We spoke to a waiter when paying our bill a manager then gave us a discount but out of choice wouldn’t have paid at all. Definitely won’t be coming back here ever again.

9/10A really enjoyable family Sunday lunch. Our servers were really lovely, attentive but not too much so. The food is delicious.....you will not come out of here hungry! A big shout out for good value children meals.

Train your staff. Waiter kept asking to remove our plates even tho we were still eating. I know it’s not fine dining but still not what you should expect. The food is over priced. Burger chips and drink £31.

8/10Food was nice but we asked for a booth, the server said no because she saves these for large parties of 6. There was an empty booth but the party behind us was given it - there was 4 people. I felt very ‘on top’ of the people next to us and would have preferred a booth.

6/10We used to really enjoy red dog, good food, good menu, but it’s really changed. Firstly they had no idea we had a booking! So something isn’t working. The menu has changed and isn’t as good. The burgers are £15 plus, sides are extra!! The taste ok but not worthy of that amount, it’s ridiculous. Then we wanted dessert and were handed a choice of one waffle for £12.50! I ordered as it was my son’s birthday and he really wanted a pudding! But seriously, what happened to the choice?! It also took 25 minutes to get said pudding! I ordered a coke and got an apple juice. The bill was £82!! Just total extortion, I pay less when I go to the ivy where the food and service is supreme. We unfortunately won’t go to red dog again…..

5/10It was my husband’s birthday and he wanted to have barbecue. As soon as we were seated we felt rushed to order. The restaurant was not very busy. There was no ice tea which was a disappointment. I ordered a hotdog & nowhere in the menu did it state the hot dog was spicy otherwise, I wouldn’t have ordered it. I could not eat it. My husband switched his sausage for my hot dog as he is okay with spicy foods. He ordered the ribs which arrived dry and overcooked. There was no offering of barbecue sauce. I think the waiter only came over once to check in on us. Overall a disappointment especially being the only bbq restaurant in the centre and my husband’s birthday.

10/10Came for my birthday. Have never experienced an American style restaurant that was so good. The food was incredible. The service jack provided was amazing and the vibe the bar gave off was amazing. Will definitely be returning

4/10Food was cold when it came out, not a lot of choice and overpriced. Servers weren’t very attentive took over 30 mins for us just to get the bill so no point in trying to tell them the food was cold as would’ve waited just as long to tell them!

5.5/10We came a year ago and staff were very helpful with allergy info and alternative food options. This time was very different no dairy free alternative for kids desserts only vanilla ice cream so our son couldn’t have a dessert. Last time the chef kindly cooked a free from brownie not sure how this is even possible to not offer a fruit salad or jelly dairy intolerance and allergy in children is very common. I Have a nut and sesame allergy there is no alternative to seeded bun or bread you just have to pay for a whole meal and then add on chips for £5.50 extra they won’t just swap the seeded bread for chips or salad. The coleslaw was also removed from my meal and my husbands not sure why as it doesn’t show there was nuts or seeds in it on the allergy info. The food we did receive was also cold. Feels like their attitude towards allergies and intolerance is quite lazy.

8.5/10The food was great, as was the service but the music too loud as it was very busy and quite noisy so didn’t need loud music as well. Could hardly have a conversation at the table and even the waiter battled to hear us. The drinks menu quite limited too with very small choice of soft drinks and no de-caf coffee for afters, which was a surprise.

3.5/10Service not that interested , burger soggy bun and the chicken and ribs massive disappointment really nice taste but very little chicken more bone and the price for this rubbish 2 mains and 2 wines cost£80 so a complete rip off sadly won't be back shame as heard good things

2/10Turned up for our booked table, only to be told the oven wasn't available to cook majority of items. Would have been nice if they called before we turned up. It was a busy night and couldn't get in anywhere else

8/10Food was fabulous, just were I was sitting the table light was dirty and there was long hair on the ledge , there was no intention of cleaning this up which I found very unhygienic, I did speak the Southampton branch manager , he was very apologetic but that was it , I will go in again , and hopefully there cleaning standard will be up to scratch

10/10I come here most weekends with my boyfriend, the food and service never dissapoints- I decided to go to the red dog for my birthday meal today and brought along some of my family, they loved everything about this place. Highly recommend

5/10Service was awful, waited 90mins for food. Got moved table 3 times. Kept messing up the drinks orders and even they took 20mins each time to arrive. Ordered burgers and chips, we all finished the burgers before the chips arrived.
