Very nice food and friendly professional service. Large starter portion, could be abit smaller but who moans about that. My Sea Bass was nicely cooked and well presented. My wife had Ribeye which was cooked as she liked it and was well seasoned. All in all well worth a visit. Thank you.
The New Years Eve dinner had a great selection of salads and desserts and the staff were wonderful.
A poor experience. On arrival for a booked table we were greeted by a server holding plates of food. We followed the server to the right hand corner of the restaurant - there was then a head gesture of your table is over there - on the far left! We were seated at 7.15pm. No food order was taken until 7.35pm. No allergy check was undertaken. We asked about rapeseed oil. Around 10 minutes elapsed. The server came back. I had to choose again. By 8.00pm we were hungry. No food had arrived. I spoke with the duty manager. Then a starter for my husband and my main arrived at the table with a random prawn cocktail! It didn't seem that my husband's main course had been ordered. When it did arrive the naan bread was like cardboard. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel the next morning - our preference was to eat elsewhere. I would not eat in this restaurant again and made the duty manager aware of my dissatisfaction.
The restaurant is lovely but the meal itself was average.
I've been to The Rembrandt for afternoon tea before so knew, in general, what to expect. It's ideally located across the road from the V&A museum so makes a very nice follow up to visiting the V&A. The afternoon tea was nice, however it is a bit unusual that you are only served with one of each of cakes rather than one each so you have to share them if you want to try them all (which is not easy when one is a cream horn!). On this occasion, the sandwiches were also not the best presented and were served in a combined 'stack' rather than a row. The tea and bubbles were lovely.
We had a wonderful experience at the Rembrandt. The staff were so welcoming and did their utmost to make my mum’s birthday special. We made a special request because of her allergies and they went over and beyond. Thank you to the chef and the maitre d in the palette restaurant. Thank you so much ??
Lovely afternoon tea. Very polite and helpful staff Although we wasn’t too keen on the roasted vegetable sandwiches, they were. bit soggy Also it might have been helpful to remind us that there was mini quiches. By the time we remembered we had eaten nearly all the cakes and didn’t fancy the savoury quiches.
Unfortunately the afternoon tea failed to impress my family and I. The waitress was not very helpful and did not attend to our needs. The sandwiches were rather bland and the quiches had a savoury filling in a sweet pastry flan case served on a plate of brown lettuce. The fruit cups had rather too much cream and hardly any fresh fruit which made them rather sickly. There were only two cakes either carrot or cream slice which were bland and dry. The tea was tea bags and there was no offer of topping up with anymore hot water. However, the highlight were the home made scones which did meet our expectations.
I really enjoyed our visit to the Rambrandt Hotel. The lounge area was directly ahead of the Hotel Reception and very peaceful and relaxing. The décor and furniture was luxurious and well presented whilst being extremely comfortable. We took afternoon tea which I thoroughly enjoyed, all items were freshly made and included a hot savoury selection which was a lovely added extra. There was a generous helping of jam and cream with the fruit scones and the cakes we all fresh and a nice selection. I was very pleased they checked for dietary needs as we ordered as my colleague does not eat fish. They effortlessly amended her sandwich selection to include another type of sandwich rather then tuna or salmon which was great. The staff were attentive and highly professional throughout and I would rate this as my best experiences of afternoon tea (which includes places such as the Ritz, The Waldorf, Royal Ascot and Wimbledon). I will be returning to this venue with other friends in the future and it is highly recommended to visit.
My friend and l chose the Palette at the Rembrandt to celebrate her birthday. We had a lovely time...food delicious...staff friendly, helpful and efficient. It wasn’t made clear on the website that the buffet (carvery) is in the same place as the al a carte...so as there were a few large groups it was rather noisy! But the staff went out of their way to find us a quiet table which was much appreciated.
We had afternoon tea at the Rembrandt, which was beautifully presented, good value and delicious. The lounge area for blissfully quiet, away from the hubbub of Kensington. The waiting staff could not have been more attentive.
The food was good but it turned out not to be a "restaurant dining experience" as on both occasions we booked to restaurant other function were on. On the first occasion we were 'demoted' to the bar and on the second found ourselves, after a short while, the only people in the restaurant while the staff cleared up and laid up for breakfast. so, not the best 'experience' of dining.
Our 1st night at the hotel we had a meal in the restaurant. The waitress was polite, but it took a long time for each course to arrive, the longest was 45 minute wait for a cheesecake dessert. The food itself was ok, I feel as though mine had been standing there for a while, it was lukewarm and the vegetables had gone a bit soft in the sauce. The whole meal from start to finish took 2 1/2 hours. The 2nd night we ate in the bar and it was beautiful never waited for anything, the food was excellent, I had the steak and it was delicious.
I spend lovely time with my girls! Is nice time to celebrate birthday:) my lital one tell me .the life is lovely :)))
