Renwicks at Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, Golf and Spa

Charged £16 each for a burger with half a dozen chips and smidgeon of salad that looked like it had been caught in the rain. £6 for a Belhaven Best! Staff trying their best but senior management and owners need to get a grip on this hotel in general. Appreciate recent times have been particularly hard on hospitality but others haven't let their standards slip to this degree. Supposed to be 4 star? Not for long if this experience is anything to go by. 3rd visit in as many years but doubt we'll be back unless thete is significant improvements to food and prices.

Wow been coming for 20 years time to move on like most of the staff had done.

I know it’s strange times we are going through but having came to this hotel for the last 20 years the food portions are small the service is slow at best and I understand the atmosphere being poor due to the spacing of the tables. The queues were unnecessary if you had a dedicated member of staff cleaning tables that were used and resetting them. Probably not be back having visited other hotels in Peebles who cope better.

Although food was good maybe because we waited 1 hour for it..a non compassionate restuarant manager
