After driving up a long road in the pouring rain wondering what we had done we were given a warm welcome at the reception desk and excellent service. On entering the restaurant we were met by a lovely lady who showed us to our table. As we don't eat meat or dairy we were pleased to see that the menu was so varied. The food was beautifully cooked, nicely presented a so tasty and the service was first class. We were given time to select and enough time between courses to make a proper choice. The cost was reasonable as well. It is not often a meal goes like this and you get real value for money.

Great food, excellent value, lovely selection and relaxed atmosphere. Service was a little slow at the bar and tables needed clearing, it was pretty business so maybe understaffed but it was an organised event so hotel were aware that this would be the case. On the whole lovely stay and would happily return in the future.

We had booked a table but were put right in the middle of the room behind the service counter. This made it very busy all around us. Not very relaxing. We were then given sachets of condiments. Would have thought a 5 star could have done better than this. Food was very bar meal style but way over priced for the very below average quality. Over all a very disappointing experience and very over priced. Very poor Hilton. The 3 star the previous night was far better quality.

Standard pub grub quality food at very overinflated prices (burger & fries £20, choc brownie dessert £9 and cocktails £11). Either need to raise the quality of the food to match the price or drop the price to match the quality.

Very disappointed in the quality of food, and pricing is extortionate. Ordered a Cobb salad which I had to send back as was missing the key items of chicken, egg & onions. The rest of the meals were just poor value for money, not garnished and thrown together, far better places to eat in the area. Service was excellent however.

The food was lovely but the decor and ambience of the restaurant was not congruent with the menu pricing. Based on my (extensive) experience of eating out in all types of restaurants at every level, I feel it was overpriced by £3-4 per main dish considering the above factors. Despite being overpriced, we enjoyed our meals and the service was excellent. Thanks.

I am a bit disappointed with our dinner as the quality of food and price doesn’t match, also we ware having dinner and staff were moving chairs around to another area so we didn’t find that appropriate when you are having dinner, . It’s sad as I always thought the Hilton brand-chain were of a high standard.

We expected a much better atmosphere for a Hilton and a better menu it has more of a sports hall atmosphere . The service was poor and the food no better than pub food. Wouldn’t go back again.

Nice stay but was woken up in middle of the night due to fire alarm. First fire exit was locked was extremely scary and ruined my sleep pattern. The food was lovely.

The food choice was ok, however to wait for an hour for your main meal is a tad extreme. The lunch menu was very strange. The breakfast was brilliant. The restaurant staff were polite and attentative.

The only 2 good things were the starters and our waitress Mia - everything else was extremely mediocre at best - other service members standing around - we had to wait on plates and glasses being cleared for some time - steaks tough. Wouldn’t recommend

Lovely food and excellent service. The only issue was the bill was different to the menu prices. We asked about why the bill was higher and we’re told all prices had increased but menus had not been updated, which was odd. Having said that, the food was excellent and the service from Amy brilliant. You can’t get away from the fact it’s a big square high ceiling roof room, so ambience is going to be limited.

Freezing cold room. People kept going out to smoke through the fire doors and leaving the door open. We dont drink, and for the home of national sports and super fit people, there was only 1 non alcoholic drink on the menu and the staff didn't know how to make it so we couldn't have it. Bit poor

The restaurant at the Hilton St George’s Park is more like a cafe than a nice restaurant. We have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions and the restaurant has been a letdown on each occasion. Tables are often left for long periods after diners have left before being cleared or cleaned. On this occasion the hotel was being used by a large number of school children so the restaurant was particularly chaotic and noisy. It should be said the waitress that looked after our table was refreshingly honest, pleasant and made the dining experience bearable. It was telling that on check in the hotel receptionist asked if we planned to use the restaurant and when I told her we had a table booked the receptionist asked if we would like her to arrange a table at another restaurant in the local area because the hotel restaurant would be full of children! In hindsight I should have taken her up on the offer. However, the hotel is not exactly close to any other restaurants (it’s a five minute drive from the hotel to the main entrance). Sadly we have now given up on this hotel and will not return nor would we recommend it to others.
