We always have a Christmas Eve lunch as a treat before the big day and chose The Lamb this year. We were not disappointed! Very few people in the dining room is just as we like it! The food was excellent and the service very personal. The decorated dining room showed how much care and attention to detail had been employed. All in all, we were extremely happy with our experience and will visit again, pandemic willing.
Great service and great food. Very friendly waitress. Our first time of visiting but we will visit again znd recommend to friends and family. Thank you.
Very friendly and welcoming service with lovely food. The potions were a good size and satisfied my son and I who have the appetite of a horse. Thank-you
Lovely pub, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. Disappointed with the breakfast. It was a bit cold and bacon and sausages were undercooked. Hopefully just a one off, we will go back and try again as it was a lovely experience otherwise.
We travelled from Essex and had a pretty long, but fun day. We had our dinner here and we absolutely loved it. From the moment we stepped in, the service was perfect. They sat us at a tablet in the restaurant and took our drinks orders which came really quickly. Then we ordered our sides and mains. The spicy chicken wings were so delicious! Juicy, crispy and the hot sauce was lush. After finishing out wings, we soon got our mains (brisket pie and overnight cooked brisket). The portions were hefty and the food was impeccable. The beef was tender and deleted in your mouth, bit the gravy.......the gravy was just divine. We were super stuffed, but I was so happy with the whole experience that I really wanted to try a desert. So we got the homemade apple crumble with vanilla ice cream to share. Perfect. We were so happy with our experience here and if/when we come back to these parts we will definitely be coming here to eat. Thank you.
The food was lovely - beef brisket melted in the mouth. We had a lovely table by the window. The staff were friendly and helpful. Background music was at just the right level that we could hear it but still easily have a conversation
Fab welcome and staff were really good. Had beef brisket and it was hot and delish. We we had a helicopter to catch so missed desert. Definitely be back, when we have more time.
Enjoyable evening, lovely food and very good drink selection. We were well looked after, the staff were very attentive and we wouldn't hesitate in eating at the Lamb again.
Waitress was lovely and attentive. Starter was very yummy. The ribs that I ordered were not a rack as I had anticipated, and whilst they were tasty, half of what was served was pure fat.
Our table was booked for 2pm. No one came to take our drinks order until about 2.15pm. 10 mins later another waitress came to ask for our drinks order. We waited another good 5 minutes before the drinks arrived. Again another wait for our food order to be taken! It was nearer to 3pm before our food arrived. After eating our main course we waited an age before anyone appeared to see if we would like dessert and/or our bill. Also disappointed that only instant coffee was available.
Slow service but it was bank holiday. Food was nice, but the meat was very fatty. Portions could have been a little more generous but all in all a nice meal. Would we go again? Possibly, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Staff weren't the most vivacious, smiley people but neither would I be working on bank holiday
Staff were welcoming, took orders quickly but then we seemed to be forgotten after we had finished and had to go to the bar to pay. Food was mediocre. We were disappointed with our 3 year old sons food, the menu stated two mini burgers that were easy for kids to hold and he received one normal sized burger that was cooked very rare. Luckily we got 50% off with the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme or we would have complained.
We arrived 30 mins early as we wanted to have a drink why wait for our friends to turn up. The woman very rudely said well we cant order food until your time. We then wait 15min for my partner drink as the beer lines were playing up so she said she would bring it out to us, eventually my partner went in and she said oh sorry I forgot. Food was alright, the vegetables looked like they seem better days and were served cold.
All four of us had a very good meal and the service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The only slight criticism is that the table could have been a bit cleaner.
Came for a family meal, staff were welcoming and efficient, menu choices were good and the quality of the food was fantastic, will definitely come again.
Really great place! Food, staff and place itself was brilliant! Definitely going back!
The Lamb Inn is a nice cosy village pub with character. The food was really good and the service friendly and quick. It was a good choice and will visit again
When we arrived we we’re seated in a dark & un-inviting Corner, we asked to be moved to a more lighted area of the restaurant, very little choice left on the menu, food was ok as of the service! The pub had no atmosphere & in need of updating.
Lovely pub in a country setting. Had pulled pork with salad and was just what I needed during my bike ride. Super friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Very Covid aware. Good social distancing measures.
The brisket was bland, no seasoning at all, the mash was so average too. The ribs were good, the veg okay.. They couldn’t offer us 1 dessert from the menu at 8:45pm - all gone! Not the best, being honest.
