We specifically visited for the Waguu steak. We were told that it wasnt available so pretty disappointing. Perhaps there is a way prior to attending to know whats off the menu? The restaurant was very quiet but even then it was hard to get the attention of the staff, though when we did they were pleasant.

Superb food and outstanding service: so thoughtful and attentive without being intrusive in any way. The Waygu Sliders were to-die-for; the beef cheek was melting and unctuous and the sushi was super fresh and popped with tiny luminescent beads of tobiko: so good. We shared seven plates in total and were absolutely stuffed! Robin is a lovely place to spend and evening feasting and enjoying the buzzy atmosphere.

This was our third visit to Robun and was still as good as ever with the added bonus of 50% off food through The Fork. This time favourite dishes were lamb cutlets and truffle rice but special mention to chocolate torte. As always my husband's favourite old fashioned is here and I always enjoy sampling the saki!

I've eatem at Robun a number of times, mostly when there have been special offers as I simply can't afford the full-price menu. In my experience, it seems that those who book through a discount scheme, may not receive the same portions, or level of service than others paying full price.

Robun has a beautiful atmosphere. Attentive and friendly staff made this a delightful evening. We particularly enjoyed the lamb cutlets and there was a generous portion of grilled ribs. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Where to start! We arrived at 6:30 in accordance with our booking. We were told that we’d booked for 7:30 and I had to show the manageress our booking to convince her. She then begrudgingly said “ I’ll try and find you a table”. We ordered our food and then told one of the items was not available. We have been to this restaurant 4 times and this has happened every time. Hardly Michelin guide standard! The manageress said she can’t “just magic up food”. We waited 45 minutes for our food. On arrival the prawns and chicken were as delicious as ever but the cod, ordered to replace the unavailable ribs, was the size of a fish finger, at £26! We said that this was very poor and returned the dish. We were then asked 3 TIMES, why we didn’t want the dish and the manageress said” you’ve ordered it, you’re paying for it” and that we should be grateful because we were getting it at a discounted rate. We refused to pay for this dish. The manageress then returned and presented a full bill asking us to leave because we had told a young waiter to f*** off. This is a complete lie and the waiter deserves to be disciplined for this slur on our character. We were eventually and begrudgingly presented with a correct bill from your incredibly rude and unprofessional manageress. On going to the till, a waitress who had had no contact with us said “are we paying this time then?” Nothing to do with her and another example of how unprofessional this team is. The manageress then deliberately took payment from a couple who arrived after us. Petty nonsense. When she asked how things had been, they said the staff had been nice but that the food was rubbish. If she’d stayed professional we would not have heard that. We will not be returning to this clown house again.

It was so so terrible. Right before I ate, the server gave me a glass of tap water with a FLY, an alive one swimming in the glass. The manager explained that it’s because it’s summer and flies are everywhere. It made me lose all my appetite. But I didn’t want to make a scene, so I continued to order. What’s even worse was that I found a foreign object in the tofu, things like tin foil packaging in the food. It was so disgusting and I didn’t even know if I had something in my stomach as I had eaten one cube of tofu. And I found it because i chewed my tofu and found something weird about the texture. After I found the object, all the server and manager did was to take back the food. Nothing more. It was until a while later that the manager came to check if I felt fine. I felt my throat was uncomfortable afterwards. It was so terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. It’s not worth the price you pay.

Went there for a meal. All spot on. One little issue indoor no phone reception. I am fine with that as loads of restaraunts have issue like this. But wifi not working was a big issue tried to contact with late friends was nightmare.

Just fantastic introduction to Japanese food, staff very knowledgable about choices. Food was just delicious, as a vegetarian I was bit concerned about the lack of meals available but they were adapted to suit. Will defo return.
