Visiting Sevenoaks from York, I happened upon the Rose & Crown after my first evenings dining displeasure at a hotel close by. The greeting was warm and friendly and I felt immediately welcome. An eclectic menu was presented by a very cheery member of staff, I chose the home made steak pie cooked in red wine with vegetables and spring onion mash potato, which was gorgeous. Pudding was Apple & blackberry crumble, equally nice and overall very competitively priced. Thank you

Very accommodating as we asked to move the time then requested drinks first. Nothing was a problem. Large garden and indoor space. Food was nice - no big issues although their roast potatoes need a bit of work. Very friendly server, Ash, who made sure we all had a great time.

À very pleasant lunch. Our drinks were a little late in arriving but the food came out piping hot and very tasty. The menu offers an excellent selection of dishes. I had the Moroccan chicken skewer with feta salad. Beautifully cooked chicken and a nice degree of spicing

The food was well cooked but rather expensive and the portions were on the small side. Wine by the glass was very expensive but other drinks were fairly priced. The service was good and the general set up was welcoming.

Extremely busy with a party in the conservatory. Understandable that service was a little slow but that didn’t affect quality of food. Recovery from the effect of Covid have affected the hospitality sector so much so good to see that ther gas been a huge pick up of custom.

Always enjoyable meals here. Service very good with friendly but not too familiar service. I was once told that the sign of a good restaurant is that there isn’t a single table that you wouldn’t want to sit at. With the exception of one table, that is the case at the Rose and Crown in Dunton Green.

As always, food choices are very good and varied, well prepared and. . Service this evening was excellent ( usually is anyway). Why do I always miss it when chicken and mushroom pie is on? Used to be the usual pie pre-Covid.

Food good, service terrible, waited ages for orders to be taken and delivered. Arrived 13.30 and left restaurant at 16.45. Given 2 menus with less choice on 1 for desserts which caused us to query what was available. Then told the crumble wasn’t available and upon query it was available. 4 of us chose the fruit crumble which said served with custard. When our bill came we were surprised it stated 50ppp had been added for the custard. There was no indication of an extra charge on the menu for the custard. Crumble and custard go together just like fish and chips but wouldn’t expect to pay extra for chips. Apart from the food everything else was appalling even down to nobody coming to take our payment. We could have easily walked out without paying but as we are honest people we paid over the bar. A reply is expected.

Nice little pub/restaurant with lively atmosphere. Waitress who served us very friendly and chatty and attentive. Food was very good, only downside was the area was extremely hot which spoilt our meal a little. Overall would recommend to others.

This is my first visit since the major refurbishment and whilst I could not see any major changes to the layout it did feel fresher and a nice place to be. The staff were excellent and couldn’t fault how we were treated. Will definitely keep the Rose and Crown on our list of places to dine out.

The waiter was very helpful, unfortunate,y items ordered were not available so two of us. Had fish and chips, it was hard to find fish in all the crispy outside coating which was oozing with fat, my plate was covered in grease, - I have never before had such a disappointing lunch. The chips were okay. Service was slow, but very helpful. The interior of the pub very nice, but I wouldn’t return.

It was our first visit to this restaurant and will not be our l ast. There was awide menu choice. The food was very good, tasty and good portions. The waiting staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. I would recommend it to friends.

I booked to meet a friend at a point midway between us, having read some reviews by other diners. Food was good service efficient and friendly and cost reasonable. I also liked that they did not automatically include service ( although of course we added it) such a pleasant change.

Although the pub was busy at the time, all Covid rules were applied on entry to the outside seating area. The tables had been cleaned before we sat down. The staff were all very polite and helpful bearing in mind it was at the end of a very long busy lunch time session for them. We ate at 5pm for four of us. The food was great and we did not have to wait long. We will return great value for money.

We were recommended to try this pub/restaurant and have come to love it. The staff are always welcoming and it has a lovely atmosphere. We have been going regularly now for about 2 years. The food ad service are excellent. We have never had a bad meal and have worked our way through most of the menu. Favourites are the lamb cutlets and the apple pie.
