We were sat down, given menus. We had to draw their attention to order drinks. Found service a bit slow. Food was reasonable compared to a similar restaurant next door. We were presented with the bill but were not charged as per the offer on the Fork App. We had to ask for the correct bill, they argued a bit but finally gave us the right bill.

I thought we had booked their Panton street branch when making this booking (stupid me!). But nevertheless we had a really nice meal which was great value even without the fork discount - which for some reason wasn’t valid at this branch.

We went to have a pre show meal and were not disappointed! Food was fresh hit and delicious and I had cassava for the first time and was delicious ! Definitely recommend Sagar !!

Menu is 100% vegetarian and a lot of dishes are even vegan. As a omnivore I was pleasantly surprised by the tastiness of the dishes. Recommended!

Food was good value for money. But just be warned to make sure you double check your receipt (and that they’ve taken off your booking discount). We were told very confidently they had, with them holding out the card machine there ready but, it actually hadn’t been taken off. They did eventually correct it, but I am dubious as to whether this was a genuine oversight or not.

Decent food, reasonable service. Some of the dishes like bhel puri was extremely poor. Dishes like kurma, bhajiya were nice. Some simple requests like mixing sambar and vada were not fulfilled by the restaurant which was disappointing. Overall it’s a positive to find a 100% vegetarian restaurant in central London but nothing else to write about.

Many vegan options, all delicious! The lighting and ambiance could be a little better, but it doesn’t affect the food, which is so much good. Highly recommend for everyone, but specially vegetarians and vegans.

Have tried Sagar Covent Garden. This one did not disappoint either. I came back for the chana batura. The batura at Sagar is definitely the best I have had in London
