We were really looking forward to our experience here, and while the food was good and the wait staff were lovely, they continually rushed us through the dining experience and kept mentioning that the Chef was being “difficult” and that he “wanted to go home” needless to say we apologized, but for 9pm on a Friday, I didn’t expect to inconvenience the chef or the staff. Honestly, really disappointed in the entire experience despite the waiter and waitresses best efforts. We were not seated at a table until we had ordered our entire meal at the bar, despite there being very few people in the restaurant. The food was okay, but it failed to live up to the lofty recommendations I had received for it, especially when compared against the price and the rushing us through the meal. One of the more disheartening dining experiences I’ve encountered.

Sartoria was elegant, delicious, and yet utterly failing the test of true hospitality: warmth.. The host was dismissive and arrogant, the servers not warm or inviting, and the ambiance was starched and boring. The one member of the staff who was warm, helpful, gracious, helpful, and showed personality was the sommelier. Great food! But please train the people that it’s okay to smile and pretend like they want the guests in the restaurant.

Ambiance, waitstaff, food and wine were all first class. We made our reservation weeks in advance. The Fork advised only a 5:45 or 8:15 pm availability. Upon arriving at 7:50 pm there were only 4-5 tables being served. There was a small group party in a private room finishing up. It was evident that it was not a busy night. Our mistake was that we should have called to reserve instead of doing online booking, which was encouraged on the website. The two of us were seated next to another twosome who were midway through their meal. Their conversation was so loud, non-stop, that it ruined our experience. I believe the waitstaff should have been more observant and seated us elsewhere. We were not in a good position to request an alternative table once seated.

From the moment we arrived, we relaxed - the warm welcome back, a couple of first-class cocktails and a great table set the scene for our Date Night. The vitello tonnato and the linguine with lobster were excellent, perfectly balanced, and the tagliata of beef and the Welsh lamb that followed just as they should be. Everyone - from the jolly sommelier to the lady on reception and the patient waitress - smiled and conveyed that confidence and professionalism that we should never take for granted but which marks out restaurants of this quality. Thank you!

The restaurant is a little gem in the middle of Mayfair. The ambience is very welcoming and charming. The staff is friendly and super attentive. The food was delicious and even if slightly expensive definitely worth it. Highly recommended.

Really authentic, staff were great which is a rarity in today's London restaurant scene. I took an Italian client who said it was the best carbonara he'd had outside of Italy!

Incredible food, great service, unfortunately they did not remember it was my wife’s birthday even though this was communicated to them, a lot of other customers received birthday deserts and we did not which was disappointing.

I went for a meal with my family who was visiting me in London. Beautiful italian experience. Food and service quality is always up to standards. We are Italian and we can definitely recommend :)
