Set lunch menu is very good value with money, especially with the drinks. Crab bisque to start was very tasty and the cod for main was nice, sauce with the cod was delicious and the mussels were massive and some of the best I have eaten. Desserts were a highlight, the hazelnut tart was loaded with hazelnuts and the poached pear with coconut sorbet was great! Would go again for the set lunch menu!

It’s rare to find a restaurant where every dish is exceptional. The wine in the pairing were very different to your usual, which kept things interesting. The pairings were also perfect. I do think the plates could have been warmer and dishes could have been explained better, but I can’t fault the taste.

Had a lovely lunch with my husband, his brother and mum and our 4 month old baby on a Friday afternoon. The service was excellent and they even served my daughter's warmed milk on a silver platter! The food was also wonderful. We had the set menu and all got the cod which was served with the most creamy and luscious pomme puree. The starter (crab bisque) was yummy and I really enjoyed it. Hubby didn't like the addition of apple but I thought it was a nice, unexpected crunch and sweetness. I had the hazelnut tart for dessert. It was good but wouldn't say great. My mother in law gave the pineapple dessert a rave review. Overall a really good experience with excellent food and exceptional service! I'd happily visit again.

I didn't realise until I arrived that this was the old St James club building. It's much changed from how it was, and looks amazing. The food and service was very good, just a shame it was not that busy, but it was lunchtime.

First time dining here and really enjoyed the food. The lunch menu was fantastic, decently proportioned and well thought out. Definitely my type of menu, luxurious ingredients, perfectly balanced dishes, elegant without pretentiousness. Have been to countless Michelin star restaurants where the dishes were forgettable, here I remembered what I had and I didn’t leave hungry. Will be back again to try the rest of the menu.

This is my 4th time visiting the restaurant and what I liked best was the impeccable service. Outstanding over the years. The food was good not superb, but the price is reasonable for the quality. Food was a bit slow so don't go when you are in a rush, but perfect for a relaxed meal. Will go back.

The restaurant was lovely and the food and service were both excellent. A little disappointed with being only us and one other couple in the entire restaurant. Ambience was a little low on my rating for this reason. Food was amazing, as were the matched wines. Better at the matching we found elsewhere.

I wanted to take an important customer and long-time friend to a refined and discreet restaurant with Michelin* food along classic lines from an accomplished chef: an experience that used not to be so hard to find in London but is now almost impossible. The food more than met my expectations but what I had not expected was such expert and genuinely warm service and such an interesting wine list: red wine from the Savoie and Straw wine from Venezia. My other surprise was so many unoccupied tables. I have no idea why but I hope that my review does not lead to my not being to make future reservations as I certainly wish to do.
