They charge £5 for water and force you to get the bottled water even when you ask for tap. Their food portions are also very small especially for the curries. We ordered 2 curries between 2 of us and finished both curries with just 1 order of naan. We ordered 1 just to start off since we were getting to rice too but when we were 75% done with the naan, the curry was done. This place also manually writes the bill down and calculates it so would recommend double checking their work as they tried to charge us for water sneakily. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless they plan on eating elsewhere afterwards.

Very family oriented restaurant with excellent food. It was a relaxed vibe and a lot of energy. The restaurant was slammed as evening diners all arrived about the same time and filled the restaurant, but food was still delicious.

Have been going to Shahjahan for years (back when it was Noorjahan II) & the food is absolutely exceptional. The service on this occasion was top notch & I have personally brought at least two dozen folks to this spot over the years because it is so good. Many fine & finer dining restaurants in London now are including a service charge & while a few years ago this one was one of the first I saw that did & was somewhat off-putting, the practice has become relatively common in parts of the city now. Don't hesitate & make a booking!

Very bad service, we booked a Table but we had to sit outside near the stairs om the street. I Wanned a starter but that was not possible to order so we both decided to order a main course. This was served very fast and was ok but the we got the cheque but we didn’t asked for it because we wanted a dessert en coffee. So we got the dessert card but wenn we wanted to order the told us the there were no desserts for the evening ??? So we decided to leave but the waiter told us that he wanted a tip but we told him we we’re not happy with the service we have got so we didn’t gave them a tip . So long story short , nobody was happy . I would not recommand this restaurant!

It was brilliant, food was amazing and always has been. We bring family and friends here, whenever we are in the mood for Indian food this is where we come! Only reason it was loud was because there was a very large group on the table opposite so naturally it will get a bit noisy, as the upstairs is quite cozy but was still very nice and the staff are excellent.

Tandoori dishes were raved about by my companions. I am vegetarian and vegetable dishes were disappointing. Okra texture tough and lacking in spices. The paneer makhani tasted sweet.
