9/10Very beautiful place, feels quite special. Staff super attentive and friendly. Food: great presentation, good flavours. Only disappointed about the portions. Left the restaurant still a bit hungry after spending £35, including the 50% discount. The ‘whole sea bream’ was in reality half a fish. The soup served in a tiny bowl, as well as the rice. That’s my only criticism.

10/10A really lovely evening in Shanghai Noir. Beautiful decor, great service thanks to Abhishek and delicious food. The papaya salad and veg spring rollls as a starter were lovely. The passion fruit and lychee panacotta on dry ice was fabulous. This was my first visit but it won’t be the last.

6/10The food I found was a little confusing in terms of taste. I’ve had Hakka cuisine before but I found the Indian spices taste overbearing. Saying that the classic Hakka noodles were nice as were the starter dishes.

6/10We just ordered 2 mains as it was late. The seafood soba noodle soup was terrible, hardly any soup, tasteless and the seafood pieces were tiny and chewy. So disappointing:( The short rib was better but we had to ask for a knife to cut the meat off the bone. Will not be returning, sorry.

8.5/10The food and the ambiance. Only disappointment was that there were not hot hand towels to wipe our hands b4 and after eating finger food.

Undisputedly the most modern and alluring Chinese city in the 1930s, Shanghai was a seductive concoction of glamour and sin, prompting some to call it “The Paris of the East“. The arriving Art Deco style was reinterpreted with more sumptuous Chinese materials like lacquer, ivory, local woods and silks and created a sensual experience like no other. Imagine Shanghai at night – the full moon all-knowing behind fleeting clouds... occasionally allowing you a glance into the mysterious world of gangsters and showgirls, frequenting the many cabarets, dance halls, elite ballrooms and glitzy restaurants... or brothels... A hub for artists and celebrities, the trendiest city in Asia truly became a legendary place with its East meets West ambience and endless opportunities. Let us lift the veil to the world of Shanghai Noir... In a world where culinary artistry meets unparalleled luxury, our Indo-Chinese restaurant stands as a beacon of exceptional fine dining. We invite you to join us and immerse yourself in a realm of gastronomic delight, where every moment is infused with the essence of indulgence and refinement.
