The food was great, the service friendly and at a perfect speed. The best thing was that when I mentioned we were going to the theatre I was given 20% off which was a welcome bonus.

Food delicious. Service friendly but a little scatty- gave our order to someone else by mistake but kitchen did come up with replacement in 10 minutes. Ambience pleasant and reasonably calm for a busy location. Location very convenient for theatre we were going to.

We usually have a pretty good time at Shoryu. Our last visit was a little strange though, our waiter seemed standoffish when taking our orders, then barely acknowledged us when bringing food to the table, even though I thanked him every time. I know from experience how tough it is to work food service so I always make an effort to be a gracious diner, but he wouldn't even look at us. Not sure what we did to offend him. My partner's seafood ramen was missing some ingredients, too. May have been just an off night, but it wasn't particularly busy and I'm a little loathe to go back to this location now.

We had an enjoyable time at the Shoryu Covent Garden. We were warmly greeted, and as it was a very warm early Saturday evening, we chose to sit outside. It was rather relaxed and pleasant, even though the pubs on either side were looking rather busy. The waiters were friendly and helpful in making the correct food and drink choices for us both. The Gekkeikan Tarusake Sake (carafe) was delicious, not too sweet and refreshing. My friend later also very much enjoyed a glass of Pinot Grigio. I had a gorgeous glass of Malbec, full-bodied and rather plummy and spicy. We both thought the vegan ramen was very good. A nice blend that included mushrooms, tofu and broccoli. Although I'm not vegan, I often enjoy vegan dishes and I added what was a nice, tender piece of Cod Katsu. A very good experience.

Decent food, but terrible service. If you accept a reservation at 8.30pm, you can't be anxious or in a hurry because you close at 10:00pm. It was shortly after 9.30pm and we found the dishes removed from the table while we were eating and even, without even having finished, the owner (?) with the bill in hand. Something like that is absurd.

If you look in the window, the restaurant looks small. Don’t be fooled, there is another section at the back. The staff are really good and the food is fantastic. It’s like an upmarket version of Wagamama’s, but with the same price tag.

This was my first time at this restaurant and the ramen did not disappoint! We both had the fork set meal for £24 .The broths were tasty and the noodles cooked to our taste ( didn’t even realise a choice of noodle density was a thing!) the lychee cocktail was delicious ( and strong!) the only thing that let it down was the desert took an age to arrive and as such was rushed due to our theatre booking. Despite this would go again but leave more time to enjoy it!

We were so disappointed with the food during our trip to Shoryu Covent Garden, especially myself since I have been to other branches and enjoyed the same dishes I ordered this time. Unfortunately all four of us had the same feedback which was everything was very very bland. The chicken karaage tasted like there was no seasoning in the crisp - two of us had this dish and agreed. Both bowls of noodles were bland according to the ladies who ordered them. The yakitori was cold and rubbery, confirmed by two of us. And the bao buns were awful. The bun itself was far from the soft fluffy cloudlike texture you expect and a little dry and all were falling apart underneath. The filling was again very bland and they looked poorly executed. I'm not sure what happened but the food was all very disappointing and at other branches has been lovely. Maybe a one off bad day for the restaurant or maybe this particular branch isn't great - it is hard to tell but to go back and spend again to find out doesn't seem like a viable option. Sorry, Shoryu Covent :( Service was fine, if a little slow at the end. The staff did ensure the allergies were thoroughly discussed and brought the allergens book out when the table mentioned their individual allergies.

I enjoyed my meal at Shoryu. There was a very wide range of choices on the menu and something for everyone to choose from. The table spacing was good, we had a lot of room around us. It worked out more expensive than anticipated as we ordered a few things to try but the food was delicious. The fried chicken bao buns, in particular, were lovely.

We had the set menu which was excellent. Tasty Ramen and delicious cocktails. The waiting staff were so friendly. It was a family birthday and they allocated us a cosy round table. Great vibe will definitely return.

Filling and delicious bowl of comfort food: tasty and nutritious. Who knew you could order from four different levels of noodle hardness! The cocktail (dirty lychee) was at once perfumed and tangy - a real treat from start to finish.
