4/10Very disappointed, we booked this restaurant for a pre theatre meal, but the service was so slow we ended up leaving after an hour without having our food! Restaurant was severely under staffed, just 1 person serving, after 1hr of waiting we gave up and left. Another table near us also left without food because the wait was so long. When we got our bill for the drinks we had ordered the waitress had added service charge! Can you imagine, customers are walking out hungry and you want a tip for service. Absolutely awful, only go here if you don’t mind waiting over an hour for your food to be served!

6.5/10The server was lovely and attentive. The ambiance was ok. I got the chicken burger and it was mediocre and the fries were SO heavy on the rosemary it was hard to eat. Decent for the price

8.5/10We went to Shoyu for a Saint Valentine’s family pre celebration and it was a lovely evening. The restaurant is small but cosy. The food was outstanding- we really liked the vegetable gyozas and the chicken bibimbap. The spicy margarita was original and tasty. The staff was perhaps a bit distracted.

It was okay but not mind blowing. Food was mostly good but not the hottest, fried chicken had some chewy bits. Service was okay, venue is not the cosiest. It’s okay for a quick cheap bite

6/10didn't realise until we left we'd been massively overcharged. two rice bowls at 8.50 and two cokes at 3.50 each and we're charged £27

9.5/10This is such a little gem of a find. An unpretentious, Korean café-style restaurant, in a little row of shops near Holborn Viaduct, it is the perfect venue for an easy lunch date. And the secret is: they make the best gyoza and vegetable spring rolls I’ve ever had, anywhere. Truly. If you go for the fried chicken, ask for advice regarding portion size: I had small, and it was more than ample: I couldn’t finish it! Everything is clean, including the rest room facilities, and the ambiance is relaxed and low-key. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is that when I arrived I found the music level so intrusive that I thought I would leave when my lunch date arrived: it was too loud for conversation. But when I told the owner that I didn’t think I would stay, and mentioned the reason, she immediately turned it down, with smiling grace. Definitely a place I shall visit again.

What a treat. Firstly the place is spotlessly clean and well presented. The waiter was helpful and super approachable. We both opted for the set menu which was great value for money. We had prawn gyoza and a brisket baobun. Both were yummy. As a main we enjoyed the Korean chicken Bibimbap. Great presentation and super delicious. We will definitely go again

7/10Great service but we had issues with the drinks. There were flies unfortunately twice in the cocktails. The food was tasty but I had a stomachache the next day so unsure if it was a hygiene issue from the restaurant. Shame because the restaurant front house were great and efficient, the food was tasty as well.

A very relaxing meal. Service was very good but the restaurant was slightly hot. Not sure WiFi the air con was on yesterday as it was a very hot day. The food was nice but the bang bang cauliflower did not taste too authentic and was so-so. The fried chicken was very tasty but slightly dry and may be overcooked. The waitress was very nice, made us felt very comfortable. dlDefinitely a nice restaurant / bar for a drink and meal/snacks. Will definitely return with friends and colleagues. :)

7.5/10Service was really welcoming and attentive. Excellent. Made the whole experience straightforward. Food quality wasn’t bad but expected better from previous photos etc. We had a large group and understandably the restaurant had to awkwardly accommodate for this. A smaller group under 8 would be an ideal amount id imagine. The cocktails were quite nice. Gave us one on the house that was enjoyed by myself. But the rest were event better and worked well with the meals.
