10/10Absolutely fantastic, from the food, the environment and the service. My daughter is coeliac and our waitress knew everything about the ingredients of every course and side and that just demonstrates a rope class restaurant and top class staff. Well done S&W, that’s why your the best steak house in the UK

5.5/10It was valentine's day so maybe not totally fair. However, we've been a few times. Wine is always hard to chose and leaves much to be desired. The service tho... Our waiter didn't know the menu, didn't listen when we asked questions and gave me the impression like I didn't belong there or couldn't afford to eat there. All of which makes me not want to go back.

10/10The food is excellent. The restaurant is exceptionally well decorated and has great ambience. Our server Mariana was wonderful throughout the evening and made us feel attended to and special. The restaurant was full and yet the noise level was still very acceptable for having a conversation without having to shout . I put this down to the tables being a good distance apart from each other, especially in the area that we resided. I would definitely go back again .

7/10Food was ok. Steak was lacking the charr that I like from a steak house. First time visiting this particular franchise, perhaps thats just how they do it there. The cut of rib eye was good, fat well rendered, sides were a good size for sharing. The place wasnt overly busy but it was almost 10pm. The vibe from the waiter was cold. Either he didnt want to be there or couldnt be bothered that we were. This put a downer on the overall experience. Rather disappointing when 15% is automatically added on to the bill. Perhaps thats the issue, the service staff dont have to put any effort in, or even a smile on their face… they get their tip regardless.

8/10We tried 4 different steaks. 2 of them were great, one was average and one was dry and chalky. Wine prices double what other steak restaurants are charging so we didn’t bother to buy a bottle. More green sides would be nice.

7.5/10FAO Falko Molitor Upon arrival, I was greeted by a short receptionist/front-of-house staff member who seemed visibly annoyed that I had arrived early. She informed me that my table was not yet ready but did so with a dismissive tone. When I asked if there was somewhere I could wait, she simply said, "You can sit at the bar," without offering much courtesy or guidance. What struck me as odd was that I noticed at least four unoccupied tables while walking to the bar. Despite this, I waited until 8:05 PM without any update on my table's status. The same receptionist made no effort to inform me when my table was ready, and I eventually had to approach her again to ask. Another front-of-house staff member then kindly escorted me to my table. On a positive note, the bone-in sirloin was outstanding and the bar staff were efficient and attentive.

Our evening at Smith & Wollensky was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The service was truly exceptional—every member of the team made us feel so special and cared for. 6.5/10I have been many times in US to smith & Wollensky steak houses. I was for the first time in this restaurant. The atmosphere is cosy, the personal is very kind and welcoming. The steak is just disappointing. I asked for a American sirloin medium rare. I had a very well done steack. I was disappointed about the taste. This is not the level I was expecting from Smith &Wollenski. Nice restaurant perfect personal average steak.

8/10Excellent steaks made very expertly. Side dishes were also excellent - especially the creamed spinach. Nice selection of wines, including an orange wine! But.... the staff seems to have no idea about the legacy of this restaurant. They do not know that the original restaurants are famed for prime rib. And the training of the staff frankly leaves a lot to be desired! Serving across me from the left! Bumping my menu aside to pour my water!!!! UNFORGIVABLE! Even *I* know better than to do this at home.
