6/10order the fried okra which came cold.when I commented to the waitress she said it can't be it was just fried. ... the food was cold, I don't need a waitress to tell me it isn't without even checking it. Poor customer service in this interaction. The service from the other waitress that was front of house was very good. The manager came out and reprimanded her in front of house during service which was quite unprofessional.

9.5/10The staff are fabulous; so friendly and engaging. And the food is great, too. The restaurant is very quiet, which is great for us - but if you want somewhere more lively, this might not be for you. But overall, a fabulous place.

9/10This is my second time to visit this restaurant. The quality was still good. Dishes and Indian drink were all at the right temperature. Keep it up ! Good!

3/10One of worst food we have had in London. Had kebab and seafood curry. Kebab was obviously made from frozen and hard outside and uncooked inside. Curry was barely any seafood and was cooked in a way that the spices were still raw/uncooked. Just terrible experience.

3.5/10SPOILERS ALERT: Buyer Beware A friend took me and another colleague to this restaurant on 20 Nov, 2024. We were offered a 50% on The Fork App and we booked a table for 2.40 pm. However, on visiting the restaurant the person serving us told my friend that he had a £25 discount on the account. We could either get 50% off or avail the £25 discount. We confirmed and said we’ll go for the £25 discount. After we placed our order, the person serving us came back and said that we will not be able to avail the 50% discount nor the £25 discount. We requested to speak to the Manager. The manager said the discount was only after 5.00 pm. However, we showed that the App was showing 50% discount and that’s the reason we booked. She said there could be some technical issue with the App and that she’ll speak to her Senior. However after we finished eating and the bill was presented, we had to pay the full price. The service provided was poor and the quality of food was mediocre too!

8/10The service was awful. The waitress didn't know how to describe the items on the limited menu, we had to wait ages for our wine and when it came, she didn't open it. But I think she may have been very new. The 2nd waitress was better and the food was exquisite, very authentic and unusual. All in all, would recommend as a quirky little place with excellent food.

10/10Outstanding Indian street food - No need to queue for Dishoom! Went with my partner for a midweek meal. We shared the -- as other have pointed out -- amazing biriani, with side dishes okra and black dahl (just as good as Dishoom's signature dish!) with a butter naan. The dahl also comes with a chapatti. Didn't finish it all despite our mightiest intentions. Plus a really rather lovely waiter, who was quick, efficient and friendly. Total bill with four bottled beers came to 50 without tip. And yes we tipped well. Only shame was that this gem wasn't very busy - see note below as to why. Oh and kudos to the chef too btw! Note: it's really rather difficult to locate the entrance, but persevere... Direct access is via a door to the left of the main hotel entrance, not well marked (I assume Westminster Licensing prohibits any advertising as the Heritage building is likely protected). If easier, just enter the hotel - the duty manager will direct you.

9.5/10The Indian tea is the best l have ever had. We ordered tandoori chicken and also lamb curry with brown roti. They were all tasty. If you like cardamom, you will like their curry. Definitely l will go again shortly to enjoy the Fork offer.

10/10The food was delicious, well prepared and well presented. The service was good and the waiters very attentive. The only comment that could possibly make is that the music could be changed to Indian lounge style without any words but sth to match the ambiance and food, would be nice and more suitable

10/10I'm a regular visitor to Soho Wala. One of my favourite restaurants when I visit the West End, just around the corner from the Palladium. The food is excellent and the service excellent - Aarti served us on this occasion and was so sweet and friendly.

2/10Honestly avoid! I’m a massive fan of food and Asian food and this is the first time I have givin a bad review. The food is disgusting all u taste is powdered spice. The service from both lady and one guy is so poor I don’t know why they work in customer service. I’m asking about the menu and they don’t know all they said is I’m vegetarian and I don’t know the menu. The service is really really bad! Food is bad aswell. Avoid

Coke was just over half glass plus ice a bit much for the price Service has to be asked to be attended a few times For the price despite the discount I could have got better elsewhere

10/10This was my fourth visit to this lovely quiet little restaurant at the end of Carnaby Street, but the first time I'd taken their Indian Afternoon Tea. Wow! What a treat - so much more interesting than a "normal" afternoon tea, with Indian influenced savoury and sweet delights. The service - Mr Ramadan, I believe, was our server - was excellent. And the food absolutely sublime. As I said, my fourth visit - and definitely not my last.

10/10This was my third visit to this marvellous little restaurant at the end of Carnaby Street. The food is always fabulous, and with the 50% off offer, an absolute bargain! It's nice and quiet - perfect for couples wanting a nice chat.
