The staff are very welcoming and kind. The food was average and wasn’t that hot when it arrived to the table. in addition, they didn’t have any take away containers only bag so I literally put my food from the plate so I could take away a paper bag for a restaurant that statue should’ve definitely offered better alternatives.

Food was delicious - creamy white burrata with peas mint a lovely fresh starter. Then sea bass on tomatoes olives and onions - really tasty, without being over filling. Friendly helpful waiting staff.

A lovely experience. The food was consistently excellent. But the best part of our experience was the kindness & competence of the person who served us - Richard. One of our group recently started using a wheelchair & his experience of restaurants to date has not been favourable. Richard’s respectful and attentive presence was nothing short of remarkable. The bathrooms & restaurant were genuinely accessible, making for a smooth, thoroughly satisfying experience overall.

Some of the dishes we had were really good - the arancini and chocolate torte in particular. Others less - so the cod cheeks, were like children's battered food. One of the staff members was very friendly and one didn't know anything about the menu. The location is within a hotel, so not the cosy Sicilian Cantina we had anticipated. We ate there as part of the Fork Festival which gave us 50% off food. This made the experience positive!

Food was average... felt like it was processed sauces on the pasta that had been microwaved and the lamb was bought in catering style, not cooked on premise, both the lamb and chicken were overcooked. All round very disappointing for the price. Location described as a cellar ... it's really only that you go to basement level - nothing spectacular at all.

When booking, we didn't realise the restaurant was at the bottom of the Hyatt Hotel so we were initially a little disappointed. That said, greeting was perfect, restaurant setting good and the food was absolutely delicious. Once our main had been served the attention of the waiting staff waited, we frequently had to grab their attention. Our plates were left for some time once we'd finished eating and we had to ask about desserts and the bill. The staff were busy relaying restaurant for the following days breakfast service.... which was noisy and distracting. Finally, the restaurant offers a really good, exceptional deal with 50% off food for booking in advance through The Fork. Our waiter affirmed this on our arrival. The bill was presented without the discount and I was left fumbling around with my phone to prove I was entitled to the discount. It is as well there was no one near us at this point, I was left annoyed and embarrassed!

We had focaccia to start - the bread lacked flavour but was ok. We each had a different pasta dish for main and both dishes were extremely salty. We did not have desert. The restaurant is part of a hotel and lacked atmosphere. It certainly didn’t have the Italian ambience. Overall very disappointing after the 5 star reviews had led us to expect so much more.
