Unfortunately the food was barely luke warm We ate about 12.30 so was expecting everything to be fresh and piping hot. After we complained the food was heated up but it spolit the first impression.

Was left waiting on door to be seated over 10 minutes. Was left waiting for drinks 15 mins. Had no korma , waited 10 minutes again. Had no sauces left. Chips were cold. Currys were all nearly run out and I did not eat much. No ice cream left at dessert

It said on the board £16.99 with soft drink I was charged £20.49 so it ain’t as cheap as they said it was also there and the vibe was a bit off I don’t know if I would return

We had a lovely evening at Spice Route, Cardiff. Shown a table immediately and served drinks quickly. The food was amazing and particularly liked how they cook your Chinese in front of you. Good value for money and would definitely recommend to others

We have eaten here a few times, and theres not a huge amount of choice however the man doing the noodles and naan breads was fantastic, food needs a little less salt but otherwise enjoyable.

I think it would be helpful to update the website. Not as many options as I was expecting due to reading the menu. I booked here purely because the website said it serves chicken tikka and sheek kebab. Maybe a star next to items served only in day would help with the confusion. We did however enjoy what we ate. Also the ladies bathroom needs attention.

The food was very poor staff horrendous very slow the floor is so dangerous and a health hazard should be closed down I tripped and hurt my knees not long had surgery on needs health and safety asap

FOOD WAS ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING, PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST AROUND. SADLY THE ONLY THING THAT LETS IT DOWN, IS THE PLACE LOOKS VERY TIRED ANDIN NEED OF DECORATING AND HAD CARDBOARD GAFFA TAPED TO THE FLOOR. HOWEVER THIS DID NOT PUT ME OFF, AND I WILL DEFINATLY BE BACK.

First time there and unlikely to go back. Didn't realise food standards hygiene was only a 2. Had to watch where I was walking due to cardboard taped to the floor. Mats curled up causing a tripping hazard. The food was ok, not a huge variety. Didn't replenish the rice, chicken wings were either pink or in some parts red so I couldn't eat them. Very poor variety of desserts. Staff were friendly though. Paid £3.50 for a mango juice and it was only a Rubicon one out of a carton.

We have been coming to The Spice Route for many years and have never been disappointed. Staff and chefs have changed over the years, some have been better or more friendly than others but the food standard has always been good, If you want British style curries this place will not necessarily suit you, the curries are authentic and sometimes fiery. The other foods are excellent and there is something for everyone- sounds strange but the fried chicken winags and better than a well known cain! I have nothing but praise for the food or choices.
