We have been to Spicy Tadka on several occasions, and the food is always very good. Last time we went, it was very busy with a good atmosphere (it was on a Saturday evening). Last night was Sunday and we were the only diners in the restaurant. Also, we were charged £2 for chutney/mint sauce, which we didn't order. The guy just brought it with the papadoms. Bit naughty we thought.

We felt the service was not up to a good standard. Food came 55 mins late and with things missing. Took my mum for her birthday with family and least to say she was unimpressed. The food is good but the type of service really put of the taste. And it’s the little things that matter such as greeting customers when they walk in and smiling them out. None of that we experienced. So yh overall okayish as they can really improve on their customer service.

The lunch buffet was delicious with a lovely mixture of curries. The Tikka Mix was our favourite! Good value for £15.

Stood waiting upon arrival for more than 5mins without getting greeted. Other guests informed us just to choose our own table, sit down and start eating. What food there was in the buffet was tasty but we constantly had to wait for refills, which isn't acceptable when the 5 of us were the only people in the restaurant eating for most of our time in there. Vats of sauce being heated with no meat, rice ran out, bread gone. It was replaced...albeit very slowly. Over £100 for the 5 of us and it was decidedly below average. Shame.
