Excellent
Superb quality food and drinks in a warm welcoming and relaxed place. The former is locally sourced and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend.
Best thing since sliced bread, especially their warm black treacle sliced bread. The squid was perfect and the scallops with bacon was divine.
We had high expectations about the food. However, we were disappointed. There was a very limited menu with pretty average dishes on offer. Fish and Chips, Burger, and Steak. Nothing special or by no means a Fine dining experience . Over-priced for what we had. Could have went to a hungry horse or fish n chip shop for a fraction of the price. If you pay for quality you expect quality. Sorry
Brilliant food staff first class
As always the quality of the food was superb ! Staff lovely as always. Very well organised and Covid safe! Looking forward to normal times when we can enjoy the live music again.
We enjoyed a superb Friday lunch by North Shields Fish Quay. This is cooking of the highest standard. Each dish carefully thought out and beautifully executed. We will visit again.
Lovely food, perfect portion size, lovely service, best Sunday lunch in town, meat cooked to perfection, love how you can choose how you want you beef cooked and the pork was cooked to perfection
It's the first time we have been to this restaurant, we would defnitely go back. The food was very good, the vegetables were cooked the way they should be( in my opion) had belly pork it was delicious!!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Just one small gripe l thought the wine was slightly overpriced.
Heard very good things and wasn’t disappointing! A party of 3 where 2 got beef and I got the chicken. Mine was delicious and just the right amount but the 2 with beef said just a little bit more meat should have been provided as a small slither wasn’t enough. Will definitely be back though and we’ll worth the price (a tad more expensive than your usual Sunday roast).
The food was good as expected but the place was so cold, had to keep our coats on throughout. Unfortunately not the leisurely lunch we were hoping for ... couldn’t get out quick enough to warm up!
As usual, the food was of the highest quality and by far the best food for miles around. The staff make a huge effort to remember you and your drinks orders etc and are very polite and friendly. It is just a top venue.
The best lobster my mam's ever had.
Nice food, staff a bit slow, had to ask several times for drinks & to pay the bill (4 different members of staff) & it wasn't super busy or anything either. Freezing inside as they have both front and back doors jammed wide open apparently due to covid but I've never known this at any other restaurant ive been to since covid restrictions ???? had to keep jacket on throughout meal. Wont go back unless they decide to shut their doors
Hello, the staff and service were very good clear and welcoming, very attentive too. Food was excellent and that’s why we came back to your restaurant so soon after lockdown.
The food and drinks couldn’t be bettered at our first visit to this busy quayside gastro pub. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and friendly team. Every morsel of food and sip of wine and beer were prepared to the highest level of care and attention. Exceptional value for such generous helpings of beautifully cooked food. This will not be our last visit.
Flawless, from the oyster to the scallops to the lamb.
Food was fabulous staff really friendly and courteous only downside was a draughty table as the doors have to remain open due to coved. This hasn’t stopped us booking again
Food was exceptional but the table we sat at was cold as we were sat near a door but overall it was lovely and the staff were fantastic
As usual the this restaurant produced excellent food. Service was very good and atmosphere is lovely. Social distancing and hygiene of the highest standard. It was our first time eating out since March and we weren't disappointed. Always my go to restaurant.
The food and service was, as always, fantastic. We felt comfortable at all times, but didn't feel the atmosphere suffered with fewer tables. Can't wait for next week
