Amazing! The service was super friendly! The team makes you feel like family and really look after you, Food somehow was even better! really nothing bad to say about this place. I dislike seafood, for years growing up i just could never enjoy a seafood dish. My partner on the other hand is Asian, Half Viet, Half Thai, so nothing more to say there. But .... Having the tasting menu, we got to try a lot of the dishes on the menu, including seafood. I have to admit, as much as love meat dishes and the rib eye there was amazingggggg, the seafood flavors were next level and was one of a few times I could say, was better than the meat flavor. Overall, it is such a great gem of a spot! I am in two minds in leaving a review that is honest to share but afraid it will become too crowded to ever get a seat again. Truthfully, give the spot a try if you are looking for real flavorful Asian Cuisine.

We were excited to find a South East Asian restaurant in London that wasn't just Thai, however the food was sadly a bit underwhelming. The starters were tasty enough (although not recognisably Malay/Indonesian) but the mains esp the monkfish were very small and disappointing in it's lack of flavour, esp taking into consideration the price (as well as the fact it was slightly cold). The decor is lovely, but I wouldn't come back as the food just didn't live up to it unfortunately.

We ordered eight dishes including two dishes of soup but the dishes all arrived at the same time so by the time we had finished our soup everything else was stone cold. The waiter didn’t give a dam when we mentioned this to him They also substituted dish without asking us. Poor show

We enjoyed our meal , starters were very tasty , (chicken satays and prawn and chicken crispy rolls) main courses though were quite bland ( prawn pad Thai and beef rendang) the service staff were pleasant and efficient . It was a busy night and therefore very noisy , so perhaps not the best choice for a date but fun for groups .

The starter was delicious but very small portions. Scallops with mango. My friend told them she had allergies and needed her dish plain. No sauce. She ordered lamb cutlet. It arrived coated in something. The waiter said “aaah, you should have ordered it plain” We had had a discussion with him 10 minutes before about what she could have that would be yeast free and plain and she was explicit and he had suggested this dish so we were doubly surprised when he ignored what had been discussed. Fortunately she noticed. The service had to be asked for ( we needed to ask for drinks, ask for desert, ask for the deserts to be taken off the bill as separate items and added to the pre-theatre three course menu price) so all in all it was a very disappointing first ( and last) visit to Sticky Mango Waterloo with inexperienced, inattentive and uncaring staff. The 12.5 percent service charge was a joke and made the very average meal an expensive night out.

After sitting down, had to wait quite a while unfortunately to be served and others that arrived after us were attended to first. However, the service improved greatly from there onwards, waitress was friendly and the food was lovely, would have liked slightly bigger portions, but tasted absolutely amazing. Will definitely be returning and would recommend!

We had the tasting menu which was delicious and beautifully prepared. We had to slow the staff down as the food was coming out thick and fast. They also gave us our bill before we asked for it and hadn’t finished our drinks. Possibly the staff were young so maybe a little inexperienced. We were upstairs and the chairs were lovely but broken or breaking. This needs addressing. Don’t let this put you off. Just needs some attention

The meal was to celebrate two young adults doing well in their exams - the staff were very friendly and attentive and brought out chocolate treats with "congratulations" written on them for the students - a very nice touch. We all had a wonderful time, thank you so much.

Premium prices for average food. The mains were ok but starters were very poor in terms of quality and value for money. The duck salad had hardly any duck in it and the pepper prawns had just a few, paltry, chewy prawns that were probably defrosted and certainly not fresh.

Told no lobster, black cod or steak on the Fork offer which was not stated on booking. And not the case at Sticky Mango Tower Bridge which has far nicer surroundings, better portions. Avoid Waterloo branch.

We had a lovely fish meal. Monkfish, Seabass & Black Cod. Started with Scallops & the Prawns. Sides potatoes & broccoli. All excellent in taste. Hope to go back soon.

Pleasant decor ( ground floor ) and excellent service from the guy who served us. Probably as it was early evening Saturday, but few other diners, made atmosphere a little subdued. Interesting, well cooked and presented dishes. Although some dishes may be regarded as fusion, they were all well planned and not done only for the effect, as in some restaurants. Starters are quite large so maybe not one each unless hungry. Good choice of wines. We had a lovely evening and will visit again.

While the food was tasty the portions were small especially for the price. The whole lobster was a disappointment- it had enough meat to be called a baby lobster or a large prawn. The service was below expectations. While smily and polite, it took a long time for the waitress to take the order and when serving wine she just put the unopened screwcap bottle and left - did not ask if we wanted to try it and left us to pour for ourselves. Same with water.

We were a table of four and everything about the restaurant was first class. Even on a Wednesday evening the beautifully decorated restaurant was almost full with a great ambiance. We each had 3 courses and every dish we had was so flavoursome and beautifully presented. Considering how busy they were the service we received was excellent and waiting time for dishes was perfect. Liam our waiter had only started working there that day and he did a brilliant job looking after us, clearly really good staff training from the main guy who oversaw all our service. Can thoroughly recommend a visit here you will have a great experience.

the staff were very attentive and polite. the decor is very instagramable. there are a lot of quiet areas within this restaurant. the food is hit and miss as its not authentic Thai cuisine. the pad Thai was a bit tasteless.
