2.5/10Too loud and too crouded. Ran into a couple of birthday celebrations. and I was most bewildered of having to explain in a restaurant what a grapefruit is. Food was nevertheless good and an interesting alternative.

9.5/10Wonderful range of options for different fish and prawn curries as main courses although the Thai fish cakes were less spicy than some I have tasted. Good range of wines and delightful service from the bartender.

9.5/10The people here were great. My companion is a wheelchair user and they made everything accessible. We got good advice on dishes. My companion has religious dietary requirements and they advised on which dishes were halal (poultry). I don't so I had pad kaproa with belly pork, which was fabulous, although if you require Thai levels of spiciness, you should request extra hot as the chili was definitely dialled down a couple of notches. All round, a nice place with very good food and service.

10/10My wife and I are regular visitor to Leeds & I always look forward to sampling the fine array of restaurants on offer in the city center. Based on the excellent reviews we decide to book a table at the Sukhothai, it certainly lived up to expectations. The front of house, services & especially the meals were excellent, 100% on all counts. Peter & Pat Renwick

10/10Have been to Sukhothai albeit 30 years ago, the good was fantastic & the service was friendly & warm. Absolutely loved the birthday celebrations. 100% recommended! Go there - NOW!!

6/10The food is good overall, and some dishes are very tasty. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I dined in this place twice, both times on the lower floor, and both times, once the food was served, we were completely forgotten and ignored by the waiters. We just wanted some chilli flakes to spice the dish and the other time we wanted to order more drinks, and it was nearly impossible to get the attention of the waiters, both time eventually we gave up. At the end of the evening, the second time, there were only 4 tables left, and yet it was very difficult to get the waiters attention to bring the bill and then again to pay it. It took us over 30min just to get out of the place once we were done with the dinner. On top of this the service charge is automatically included, really undeserved, for nonexistent service from the moment the food is served. I really like some of the food they make but will not return, it's not worth the stress.

9.5/10The food, the ambience and service are excellent. However we chose the restaurant because I am coeliac and this was a trip advisor restaurant for gluten free. Ordering was a nightmare because there is no gf menu and staff didn’t know what was gf. They had to run back and forwards to the chef who did know. We were told they use Chinese ingredients which are not gf. Unlike a lot of Thai ingredients. So that was very stressful. End result fabulous but they could easily be more gf friendly

2/10When we arrived the restaurant was half empty but they still made us wait for our table. We ordered and was still sat at a table without even a drink 30 minutes later. This was not acceptable so we left. Having just visited Thialand where the service everywhere was exceptional maybe they could also do with visiting to learn some skills.

10/10Second time we've visited and it won't be the last. This restaurant has quickly become one of my favourites. The staff are attentive and so friendly. The food, from the presentation to the taste, is amazing. And to top it all of the ambience is relaxing and welcoming.

10/10Held 21st birthday celebration at the restaurant. Very friendly and attentive service. Food was great. Atmosphere was lively. Have eaten here before as a small family unit and equally good experience. Highly recommended.
