We choose Symonds as on the level (mobility probs in our group), peaceful and friendly environment. Today, however the smell of chips hit us as soon as we entered the lobby area and overpowered the restaurant too .. not pleasant. The lunchtime menu choices were very tired. Has been the same for fair few months! My dish of chicken Milanese was a soggy breadcrumbed over-cooked chicken escalope on a stalky salad . V disappointing! The bar served me an old fashioned cocktail made with a peaty single malt (not my taste) with no orange. If shld be made with bourbon and definitely an orange twist! I sent it back. Please don’t let things slide to this level! It would be such a shame ????

Lovely restaurant, great setting with gardens outside . Food 100% absolutely delicious. Restaurant very modern and clean. Staff excellent and lovely and friendly, service excellent . Toilets very clean . Will definitely return.

As always top notch. Birthday treat for friend and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful tasting and presentation and service. The bar staff were smiley helpful and looked immaculate. Perfection!

The food was good, but the parsnips were hardly roasted , the beef was very pink but was tender though. waited ages for our pudding. the staff are very helpful
