9.5/10Taj and Romeo made this dining experience again amazing. Food was delicious and authentic indian. Will go back again. Very good location. Recommend getting the Makami Dhal. Only downside is soft drinks are super expensive, £5 for a pint of coke. Service was fast and all waiters are helpful in picking dishes and are very attentive.

4 of us all agreed every dish we ordered was a delicious. Not oily but very well made. Another great Indian restaurant that knows how to serve up authentic indian food. I would give it 10/10 for food quality taste. Best thing about it was that the entire meal was not rushed, yet still they were attentive and passes by table several times in case we needed anything else. Waiters Imran and Romeo and another waiter were very patient and kind, always offering us extra. We even got a few small biscuits with our delicious chai milky delicious tea. The waiter taking order was nice to help tailor our dishes to the way we liked it. Portions size are great not small nor super big. Just enough. Presentation was as you’d expect in a great authentic indian restaurant. The vibe is good, really nice and even though it was busy we could hear each other. Daal Makhani was my favourite dish there and the thali was well made. We all said one day we should go back. Location is amazing. Thank you Tajmahal!

9/10The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was lots of options for food, and the portion size was filling. The only downside is that the toilets are downstairs, however, the staff were kind in assisting me. I had a very enjoyable evening. Thank you.

10/10I first visited Taj Mahal with 5 friends for lunch on a Monday in early January and enjoyed the food and service so much that I returned with 3 friends (1 who had been on the first visit) on a Friday evening in mid January. The food was excellent and the service efficient, helpful and friendly on both occasions.

10/10Lovely food lovely customer service This is definitely a 5 Star Indian ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So pleased we found this place in London very near to King’s Cross so very handy just before or after long train journeys ect. The food is just perfect with the right amount of spices. The guys are very friendly too and the place is very clean. We will be back! Many Thanks Alison & Neil

5/10We ordered 2 different dishes with chicken. The chicken came right of a chicken brochette. You could see the holes of the brochette stil in the pieces of chicken and the vegetables. Also the sauce was the same for both dishes. For the price that we paid there it should have been a bit more authentic. Also a service charge of 15% was added to our bill by the restaurant itself, not ok!

2/10The manager(the bald guy) refused to accept the booked discount offer through Fork. Food was terrible. Staff was very disgraceful and was not listening knowingly despite calling multiple times. Worst experience in London from 5 years of living in London.

5/10The service was really bad. We waited almost an hour for our dishes and the waiter seemed to avoid us. The food was ok but I’m pretty sure you can find a better Indian restaurant nearby. As we booked with the fork we had a 20% discount but I would advise you to check your bill before paying as the waiter forgot to add the discount. We reminded him that it should be applied and it was clear that he already knew and he was just trying to scam us. Finally he came back with a new bill with the 20% reduction. Overall I would say that this was not a good experience and that they should really improve their service. Given the reviews they have I’m disappointed.

6/10The food was good, but unfortunately a few things let this restaurant down. Firstly, it took a while for them to take our order, and when they did, they didn’t have the dish I wanted. They claimed that the lamb shank had sold out despite it only being 17:00! Instead, I ordered a lamb bhuna but received a chef’s special, my partner had ordered a chicken bhuna, but they forgot to put the order through so I had finished my meal by the time his had arrived, The food we did have was tasty, but other things let the place down.

7.5/10Went with my son. We are new to London for his semester abroad. just looked it up online and showed up. Moist flavorful chicken Tikka masala. Could use a touch more spice. Being from the USA, we noted you buy the rice separate. Don't yet know if this is commonplace here. yes, recommend for casual Indian.

+2Booked for 6 people,but unfortunately 2 of our party were unable to attend. For starters, we had a selection from samosa chaat,Aloo chana chaat,tandoori king prawn, and paneer tikka. All turned up very quickly,and reasonably tasty. As for the mains chosen, the lamb shaslik masala,veg thali,veg balti and lamb pasanda were fine Enjoyed the house wine. These dishes were accompanied with saffron rice and naan. The bill did not deduct 20 % off,had to remind the staff,even though I showed them booking with the Fork.

8.5/10We had a table for seven at the front of the restaurant with people arriving from 6-6.45, which the restaurant accommodated very well. The service was very friendly and the food excellent at this price level - a drink on the house at the end was a very kind gesture which was much appreciated. Some might prefer the light to be less bright at the front though as old friends, that didn’t matter much to us. At least no-one had any problems reading the menu - that’s unusual these days.

8/10Food was pretty good. Service was as quick as you wanted it to be. Value for money pretty good too, esp with 20% off. Curries start at £10 or so, so pretty reasonable. Could easily have a curry, rice, naan and a side to share for £20 all in, so a pretty good place for 2.

From the start both neighbouring restaurants tried to entice us is ( a no no for me seems desperate) this one let us decide for ourselves! From the warm welcome to the great service courtesy of our waiter Imran to the great food this was an all round great dining experience. We had chicken Shashlik and Tamarind King Prawn both Fantastic dishes. Very flavoursome and tasty. We will definitely be back next time in London give it a try a hidden gem!!

Great food! Definitely over ordered on the food as it all sounded so good, each dish was delicious and very good size portions. The staff were extremely friendly and tentative. Would go back and recommend.
